Yeah, of course they are. Why wouldn't they be?

Then the young supporters of your club have been undervalued. Its suppose to be a replica shirt for christ sake. They should of found an alternative sponsor for the kids when the new sponsor was announced. If it had been the other way round i would of been very disappointed with my club.I know of a couple of Rovers supporters who will not be buying the shirts for their kids and it looks like they could lose a fair whack of income from the merchandise side of things, which i am sure is the last thing they want to do is losing even more money.

| I find it very hard to believe any parent would not buy a kids shirt because it doesn't have a gambling website on it. In fact I prefer shirts without sponsors and my fave is the retro classic shirts that don;t look like walking billboards!

| You would hope parents are glad that sportingbet is not on the childrens shirts and shows that the club has a bit of decency about them. (and i work for a bookies and at times see why you dont want kids to get involved). I agree though they should have made an effort to put a childrens charity on the shirts instead

| The argument that having a bookies name on a junior shirt will encourage them to gamble is a load of rubbish.
What about kids who wear crucifixes? I've not heard any reports of them nailing their hands and feet to crosses

| It doesnt encourage them as they would not be alble to put a bet on anyway. I guess its like when they banned smoking ads every measure helps.

| I'm fully supportive of clubs not having alcohol or gambling adverts as sponsors of their shirts. I'm still waiting to hear a reply though to my question about advertising a charity, thought Rovers said they were going to do this but havent?

Not sure if craven park has em but the kc has bookies in the stadium. So Young city fans can watch their parents spend loads of money but they aren't allowed to have the bookmakers name on their shirt?
where is the sense in that?

| At the moment we dont have them so that isnt the case at the moment. But if you know bookies they dont allow children in so usualy that doesnt occur. Well thats upto the parents isnt it and not the sponsors.

| I'd pay a premium to have a sponsor free shirt. The idea that kids are being short changed because they don't get to be walking advertising board is preposterous, IMHO.
On the charity angle, the home shirt has the Noble Group on the right side of the chest, but the away has 'Cash for Kids'. The latter is either a charity or an extremely unscrupulous new approach to pawnbroking.
I've checked - it is a charity that is linked to local radio stations around the UK.

| So the rules say you can't advertise gambling on kids shirts but its ok for a kid to read the gambling advert on his dad's shirt, on other supporters shirts and on the hoardings round the pitch?
The world's gone mad.

Disapointing, was thinking of going into kidnapping to earn a bit of extra cash in the run up to Christmas.
I'll have to come up with something else.
