[quote="berro's best mate":s1ihp4wb]all joking aside our club is a mess, a farce, a laughing stock.....due mainly to our inept board at the helm, one of which rapes and pilages its riches for its own greed.........quite clearly rule and hetherington are not upto the job, what the hell is going on?? performances are now at a stage of utter decline, our players are looking as though they dont even want to be on the pitch let alone to be associated with hull fc....
im taking this opptunity for anyone with a heart and a big wallet to save hull fc from these two muppets before its to late...
a club which charges the most in super league to watch complete rubbish,
PLEASE PLEASEPLEASE help this once famous club regain its feet by buying out these complete greedy, clueless morons before its too late.... [/quote:s1ihp4wb]:33272.jpg |

After watching him 'perform' for Widnes a few times I doubt he would even make cover for the reserves half backs!!!

| I was surprised that Kirk Netherton was let go.
I thought he was developing into a good player and crucially would have counted as 'home grown'.

LOL apparently Kirk made his own downfall. I was told He approached Widnes who he felt where certain to get a SL license and had a big money deal on the table to play for them. It fell through when Widnes never got in SL. He came back to Rovers and apparently was quite rightly offered feck all.
Justice IMO was a quality player who was doing fantastic and making really good progress.

So that makes it right that Rovers offered him 'feck all'??

| With only 6 quota places available for next season, Justin is going to have a tough time chosen the last quota place as I think you already have 5 signed on (Webster, Dobson, Vella, Newton and Galea).
Would you keep any of the others, Lovegrove, MA, Gene, Fisher or Fitzhenry?
Or would you look to sign a top overseas hooker?

HOW on earth do you get NILLED at Wembley ?
When your coach isn't a winner at heart and Gentle is not a winner at heart .
We were a pub team
I coached for a long time and we won 95% of games because winning is a mental state driven by a desire to CRUSH an opposition. Did FC look as though they wanted to Crush Wigan and strangle them until they screamed ? NO
RL is a tough tough game and Maylord She-dong you have no clue
In fact don't ever ever reply to any of my posts again:37721.jpg |

I think Gene and Fitzhenry will go. I'd like to see Makali stay for at least another year but it's looking doubtful. Lovegrove [ishould[/i get another deal IMO and Fish is here until the end of next season. That all depends on what loopholes we can exploit though

If we had the 3 year license in placce at the end of 2007, he would have been one to keep and develop. I thought he had plenty of potential which, with the right coaching under JM, could have turmed him into a very reliable squad member.

Fisher has a contract to 2011, iirc. Lovegrove, Gene, Fitzhenry and Aizue are all OOC, but would all qualify as fed-trained on renewal. This is at best a phased introduction of the new rules, at worst it makes a mockery of them. With only a C-grade license I don't think Hull KR would be wise to take the pee too much, even within the rules.
For playing ability, I'd probably keep all, for reasons of PR/license renewal, I think 2 or 3 will be let go, with us signing one or no overseas players. A few of the reserves that have been touted to step up are reaching the age where they need FT contracts or to drop down a level. I'd sign maybe 3 or 4 of them to one year deals. This would give us more depth, at the cost of maybe one decent estbalished SL player and would play well with the RFL. And one or more of them might turn out to be really good, of course.
Cover at hooker and scrum half would be valuable, depending on how well how well Spaven comes along. Murrell can cover there, but then he'd need replacing in turn at LF. I don't know if K. Netherton would come back, but he did only sign a one-year deal at Cas. I wouldn't hold his looking for more money at Widnes against him - these are professional players trying to earn the best living they can.
