The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

Surprisingly they opted immediately for an overseas replacement.
i wonder if he had chance to tell young ryan what to expect?

| This is all quite ironic when you consider the players in/out rumour thread on the FC board that is crammed with the names of every australian player going.

Because we have plenty of room on the quota and don't need to run to the RFL for dispensation.

i'd guess your royston valley board has some rumours on there.

| Anyone who thinks Sean Long can tackle must be deluded. He has been the weak link in Saints defensive line every time I watch them play. Sean Long, as with any other half back worth is salt, is picked to win games by creating chances for himself and his team mates. This has been proven time and again over the last few years with some great performances.
Dobson's defence is not great, but look at how many tries he has scored and created since he arrived at CP. Like Deacon, Dobson also has a great kicking game, either for position or goal attempts. I would like him to become a bit more consistent in his positional kicking, and if he can add to his defence, all well and good, but I doubt Justin bought him to CP to top the tackle count every week.
As for Leuluai (sp?), he quite often doesn't look interested. When he does he is a great attacking player, but for me he doesn't do it often enough. Even some Wigan fans agree with this when we have been at the JJB this season and last.
I think Dobson has the potential to break into the top 3 scrum halves next year. Whether he realises that potential is a different matter.......

Surely your dispensation was fully used up in the infamous merger

Maybe so which is why we sign English players to replace Aussies, unlike some clubs.

Caderwood.....as in Scottish English
Crocker....as in transported over there English
Maloney.....as in third rate English

Calderwood as in playing for England not Scotland (I thought you would have realised that seeing as he kept Fox out of the World Cup)
Maloney as in giving youth a chance rather than signing just any old Ozzie
Thorman as in England international
so that's 3 English players and one world class Australian international.
Now remind me, what have Fitzhenry and Crossman ever achieved to warrant giving them a big pay day over English talent?

Sums it up quite well for me. With long retiring in the next year or two, do you think saints would see dobson as a longe term replacement for him

| There are a lot of people on here slagging off Dobson, the HKR youth system, Paul Cooke etc etc. No-one has put a decent argument forward as to who will be the best scrum half in super league next year and why.
If all we get is clever remarks it will have to be assumed that you share my opinion that Dobson will be the best

Tim Smith, Todd Carney and any other Aussie that signs before next season are ahead of Michael Dobson in the pecking order at the moment but who knows what form players will have next season.
