| Good was he?
Sounded like an impressively dominant first half performance against the next best team in the division. Did they present the shield after the game.
Job done, anyway.
Could do with Fax beating Toulouse on Saturday, from a selfish logistical POV for the 8s.

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

| He was a bit of a monster.
Very eager for work, and bounced people off for fun. He clearly enjoyed it, which for me is a massive thing for a player, things become easy when it's fun. He brought his kids on at the end and had a couple of photos. A bit much for me but his call.
I'm too lazy to start two threads in a day so let's have this as the London thread.
First half, excellent, best forty of the season, although Addy kicking out on the full and knocking on in contact on the first tackle from a kick off should and will be punished at a higher level.
Best performance of the season from the pack, London just couldn't stop us, it's been an awful long time since we got a team on the end of a juggernaut roll like that. Scruton very good, Mulhern hitting hard again, Jewitt looks a decent signing. Lunt his usual consistent self and Dockar-Clay adding proper zip and for once Sheens gave him that last ten of the first half slot and it worked. If Clark and Johnson can get back to the bit of promise they showed before their injuries, we're actually not far off in the forwards.
Stand up Liam Salter. Best performance since 2015.
Second half, a bit poor.
Ellis. Don't off load the ball to no one when clearly the play is to slide the ball through for at worst a 20 metre restart. Certainly don't offload to no one when actually, no one turns out to be the opposition's second most dangerous running player who then goes under the sticks.
I'm increasingly in the "Ellis hasn't got it camp".
Half time was the killer for us, the foot was on the throat and for once we'd turned up first.
I think the fans are being very critical of a winning team, and rightly so, hopefully Sheens is as well because we all know the standards we need to attain the level of performance that will be required to achieve the goal we desire.
Slight aside...
Dixon had a very good game under intense pressure, still love him!

| Chuffed to hear that Jewitt and Carney are going well. Looking forward to seeing KR in the middle 8s . Think you have a real opportunity, can't imagine any of the super league teams would thrive playing at your place. Win 4 home games and 2 away, job done.

| Moss breezed through the game and was a constant threat with the ball.
We have Minns Quinlan Greenwood Abdul and another possible signing to add to that 17.
We have the best coach in the play offs and a well drilled squad.
I loved Scruton's 80 metre chase of Sammut. Nearly as good as his ankle tap on the Salford badge tapper.

| It was very interesting to see how much organising he was doing from kick returns and restarts. He constantly talked to the left edge.
On a different point, how well did Bobby Blair go, I have said before that Abdul and Bobby play in the same space on our left and today without Jordan he was his old self.
Moss yesterday showed what Bradford fans had been saying all season, that he his one of the most exciting attacking fullbacks outside of super league.
Do you think T.S. has known this all season and as kept him under wraps until now just to for the 8's.
Playing like he did yesterday, he will certainly give any opposition coach a defensive headache

The only issue with Moss is that he struggles with a grubber kick, very similar to Quinlan they are both good at the high kicks but anything bouncing and they look very nervous.

| Well, as this is a London match thread, I'd like to take the opportunity to point out that winning 10/10 might have got at least 1 of our neighbours wetting their knickers but it's clear that it counts for knack all when they were all against some of the dross in this league.
London made a mistake from the off that others haven't - they didn't spoil or make attempts to mess about at the ptb. The result was a low penalty count, but more crucially we got very quick ruck speed and they couldn't cope.
It's means they will probably come up short when the real action starts, but it didn't tell us a lot about our ability to stand up to the big boys.

The games against Salford and Leigh helped on that front. We will be competitive and hopefully have a better 17 than played Salford.
I hope Huddersfield drop into the bottom 4. We are going to be competitive. It's no mean feat going 10unbeaten in this league. Plenty of lower SL teams would have not managed it.
We blew London away. Sheens is holding plenty of cards back for the play offs.
As for Carney. Runs like John Inman tackles like Larry Grayson. Don't see why we signed him....

I see being capital of culture has not got rid of all the homophobic idiots in Hull. As no one under 40 would recognise the names, let alone use them I assume the poster is a pathetic dinosaur, who thinks they are witty.

Ffs. Really. It was a reference to THEIR OWN stage personas not a suggestion that if you are homosexual you are somehow weaker than a heterosexual. Who, what or how they have sex is of no concern to me. Unless they ask me to join in. Then there has to be some ground rules.
No one made those 2 entertainers present themselves as they did. They chose to. Sending themselves up I believe. Were they homophobic?
Take a breath. Calm yourself down a little.
Anyway Carney. Nasty....messy business that try.
