| I agree it is completely ridiculous.
I usually take my son who is almost 5 (passes for North Stand) and he hasn't seen a home game since Easter Monday. I appreciate that this is down to fixtures but the only other home game we have had since Easter Monday was Wakey and this was a Thursday night. Poor planning by the RFL with regards to fixtures leaving this amount of time between home games for each club!!
Now the June fixtures have been changed we have gone from potentially seeing 3 games together, down to just one (Widnes).
Also, the fixture change for FC at home to the Friday night means that the last home game he is going to get to see is Widnes on the 14th June (assuming they dont change that one too!)
Getting to see one out of six home games is a pretty poor return and we still have Salford to schedule in, which will probably be a mid week game.
Night games are just a no go for us, as his bedtime is usually around 8 o clock and he's exhausted by this time anyway.
IMO it is no way to promote the game to young families.

| If the Widnes fixture gets moved our last Sunday home game of the regular season will have been against Catalans on 15th March

| Not good for people with prior commitments obviously, but unfortunately you pay the piper , you call the tune, the game would be in deep poo without Skys financial input.

| I heard that Rovers are trying to rearrange all of their home June fixtures for a Friday night to give the team a descent turnaround leading up to the Challenge Cup game .....If they feel that having a couple of extra days gives them a better chance of progressing in the cup then that probably means that they are focused on the cup and bringing this silverware to East Hull .....Anyway, the RFL have set precedence by moving the Castleford game to a Friday night all because of Castleford's whims .....To me, a trip to Wembley is far more important than the inconvenience of rearranged fixtures to us fans, so do what ever you have to do Rovers!

What a load of garbage. Where did you "hear" that? Considering 3 of the games are now fixed on Thurs or Fri, I hardly think they have too much trying to do now do they? Unless tv call, the Widnes game will be played as scheduled.
The rfl didn't set any precedent's when moving our game, it's already happened to other sides this season (including Cas themselves). Stop being a big drama queen Geoff.

| I know that the club can't please everybody but I don't think I am the only one who would not have bought a seson ticket if I had known that I would loose so many games due to date changes. I can't do night kick off's so when am I supossed to use my pass or see the team I support. After the way I have been treated this season I won't be renewing my pass next year & after 55 years of attending games I am sorry to say unless I can pay on the gate I won't be coming again.

I understand your frustrations but is this year any different to the last 9 since we've been in SL. I'm afraid its a gauge of success and how we are deemed to be an entertaining side that we do seem to get shown on TV a lot.
Sky will show who they believe will draw a bigger audience and they must have seen something in our game that they believe will give a decent entertainment to their viewers. If I could only attend on one weekend day i think I'd be in the same boat as you and just pay on the day. I don't think CP was sold out even for the derby game so doing that would still allow you to attend all the games you could attend and not waste money on the others.

| After a LOT of negotiating and moving stuff around I can get to this and the Cas game now.
I realise that Sky pay a lot of money and ultimately they call the shots, however the club does also need increased attendance for both profile and income. When I buy my and my 2 boys season passes, I know we may miss a game or 2 because of holidays. I'm not loaded, but even missing 2 or 3 I could live with if they were unavoidable because I have already pledged my money to (in my eyes) the best RL club in the world. Even playing at home and on TV we still go because it's the atmosphere they we partly go for. We live in west yorks these days so it would be easy to say we'd just watch it on Sky.
What is completely unacceptable is avoidable fixtures issues before the start of the season - the Cas game not giving enough rest time (RFL fault, not Cas) and the Salford home game because of the cup which may also force ANOTHER fixture change to fit it in. Add to that the usual Sky changes and I'm totally peed off with the RFL's inability to plan fixtures and their total lack of respect (still no apology) to true RL fans who bend over backwards to support their team.

| Maybe we should get relegated back to the Championship, they always seem to get their games played on a Sunday.

I have always thought that buying a season ticket is my way of supporting the club, luckily I can aford it & never complained at the odd game moveing ,but this year seems to be worse. As I say cost is not the problem & I will be retired next season but I won't buy a season pass as I won't attend night matches as I don't get back to Beverley till nearly midnight unless I drive & then I can't have a drink. I know lots of people who are the same as me at both Hull clubs. Its a shame but I will now pick the odd game & pay on the gate. I used to go & watch FC if I could not get to our games but they lost me when they switched to Friday nights & stopped pay on the gate. I would be very interested to find out how many people are lost to the game that way. I will probably see York more than Rovers live if we drift away from regular Sunday games.

Following our promotion I think most people were happy to accept that the occasional home game would be moved for Sky. He who pays the piper etc., and for several years that's all it ever was.
Now rather than it being possible that a home game may be changed it has become probable.
Rovers last played at home on a Sunday on 15 March the next home Sunday game is 14 June a wait of 3 months but make the most of it because after that all our home games have already been moved including the Catalans cuptie and that takes us up to the end of July. So that's 1 home Sunday game in the best part of 5 months.
Anyone buying a pass on the basis that we play on Sunday's would have expected a home Sunday game on average once every 2 weeks but as it turns out it will be once in 21 weeks or even more depending on SKY's coverage of the Super 8's. That surely is taking supporters for granted to an unacceptable extent.
Three things have changed to create this situation; SKY now screen games on Thursdays, opponents are allowed to ask for our home games to be changed if they have a short turnaround and clubs are entered into the Challenge Cup on weekends when they already have a scheduled Super League fixture which must therefore be postponed.
None of this is Rovers fault. I am going to be generous and say that the RFL and Super League probably never intended this situation either and it is the law of unintended consequences following the change to a new fixture format, the partial seeding of the Challenge Cup and the lobbying from several clubs about the need to avoid short turnarounds. As I say, I am being generous, many will not be.
Lessons must be learned and there are several but if SKY cannot be persuaded to ditch Thursdays then the root cause of most of the problems will persist and Rovers surely will have no choice but to switch from Sundays to Friday night for home games.
Many people including myself prefer Sundays but what use is that if it ends up being one Sunday in twenty one? Friday night would eliminate the majority of switches and at least fans would have a better idea of they were buying when they commit to a season pass.
Whatever, passholders have been sold very short this season and something has to change.

News to me, but it sounds as good a suggestion as any as we play Thurs before & Sun after. It still give Salford an advantage though as they have the weekend off while we slog our guts out in the cup.
The rfl will decide the date, and nobody be happy with it.
