| Maybe stick him on the wing for the defensive sets and swap him with Lovegrove on attacking sets like we are doing at the moment only Hall playing at 13 instead of 6 in the attacking sets?

Nah.
We wanted a full back with more attacking prowess (McDonnell) rather than someone who'll break their face making a try-saving tackle (Brisc) but not necessarily offer much going forward. Now you want to have an attacking FB, defending at FB and attacking on the wing? Sounds logical.
Here's a fantastic idea, why don't we play Wingers on the wing, LF's at LF and Fullbacks at Full back? Injury free squad permitting, obviously.

Not without natural ability they won't. I can work harder than the next man but ill never play S/L bescause unfortunately I don't have the ability.

| Seriously, though, I raised this point on another topic and the consensus of those commenting was put Hally back on the wing.
I think now that his talent has been give space to flourish (which, by the way he has always had), it would be a waste to parcel it back up! The problem is he is too good to be a winger, too light at the moment to play at loose forward. Off half is his 'natural' position.
I'm a traditionalist (like dum-dum) and like to see players in their positional roles (not this switch malarkey), and if anything I can see Greeny being more suited to the loose forward role, which would create the space for Craig to play at 6 (even with the switch play!).
I think a Rovers team brimming with playmakers like Dobbo, Green, Galea, Withers, Josh Hodg and now Hall, would be fantastic.

Meninga destroyed most players, but Dave's nemesis was a certain Gavin Miller, brought over as a back-up 2nd rower in the days when if they are Oz they'll be better than British players, who quickly demonstrated extraordinary distribution and off-loading skills.
I rate Gavin as the best loose forward I have seen in a Rovers shirt, but Dave's performance in the 1984 JP final against Classy Cas was the best performance I have seen from a loose forward.

| Even now, Hall is only half a half - defending on the wing. And he's a tad erratic still.
Also, we don't currently have a lot of cover in the 3/4s. When Green is back, Hall can return to being a normal winger, Lovegrove to being a normal forward and we'll look better balanced, IMO.
Good that he's an extra option. he has adapted well and looks comfortable, so definately a plus.

OK let's put it another way the way Craig Sandercock described Hall, "He has the ability to do things most players can't and you cannot put a price on that".

| He should go back on the wing but he needs to be given licence to come into the line around the ruck, his footwork and change of pace have been one of the major factors in line breaks this year.
I'd ideally like to see him in the centres but the fact that this is probably the most difficult defensive position puts me off.

| Personally I would like to see him paired up with Welham again, their speed and agility complement each other and they can always interchange in attack. This would be far less disruptive than currently switching from off half to wing and leave the middle more settled, Kris is a far better tackler and should stay as a in defence but in attack the two can swop without much change to the structure.

Yeh, much prefer to see Hall feed Welham rather than the other way round. Doubt Hall would benefit from passes @ his head/behind and into touch.
As a compromise Hall should just continuously roam from side to side in attack. Everyone will be happy.
