Give shannon grief by all means but lay of ben galea he gave this club loyal service. Im ashamed of some rovers fans who seem to have short memorys and being narrow minded.
He showed respect to us by when scoring his try. In derby friendly he didnt celebrate thats speaks volumes For me.

Good player, fond memories but part of the past for Rovers now.
I'd maybe be a bit less ambivalent if he'd gone elsewhere, I admit. I certainly don't wish him ill and respect his decision and right to earn the best living he can.
Doubt there'll be any reference to TL in the chairman's programme notes, but if there are, I'd be curious to hear them. |

What a load of bollox. Ben Galea gave us good service and was one of the finest overseas players this club has had. It is well documented he was offered a lot less than he had been on and it signalled that the club did not want to keep him, meaning he returned to Oz or signed for another club. He was offered a good contract by another club and he accepted. The problem seems to be 'who' he signed for, if he had signed for Widnes or Cas he would not be subjected to such drivel has you have just posted. He is a Hull player now and as such will be accorded 80 minutes of banter by me, but never any abuse as I have too much respect for the man and what he did for our club. |
