eusa_eh.gif You are joking? The HJ stadium looks more like a Hockey stadium!

The only reason Hull FC/City tigers got that stadium was because Hull City council sold Kingston Communication to BT! And with the money they received they decided to build a new stadium!'"

What are you talking about. The 200 Million the council got was for Floating the company on the Stockmarket and they still own 51% of the company which they are now in negotiations with an American company to sell it for 400 Million BT own a 0 percent stake of nothing in the KC

Depends on whats for sale Hutchie icon_ask.gif
Debts to consider 1st and foremost.

Will be difficult to attract a buyer IMO.

He maybe wouldn't lie, however he appears to be mis informed.

I disagree, there is potential in the club

any serious invester would have 2.3million (it could be less now, they are the last available figures) to pay of the debts..

and then you are left with a club with a decent fan base, with a huge catchment area (if they lowered prices, did some promotions etc) a decent enough squad (last friday not taken into account) and a brand new stadium for at least the next 21 years (how long our initial lease it)

it would only take the debts being paid off really, as we are operating at break-even (our last accounts was a £4,000 loss, which is small change in relative terms) and this years accounts are expected to show a profit.

so with work, FC wouldent take much money to work, once the intitial debts (which mostly are from our last days at the Boulevard) are paid off.

of course no-one would be interested straight away, theyd expect them to drop the price.

if any deal did happen theyd make Hetherington and co hang on for ages to get FC at a rock bottom price, they wouldent just say "yes Kath" and write out a cheque straight away.

also how many rich sports interested people do you know in Hull? minus Pearson and his backer..

there have been some good responses to this topic and some propogand as well.

True the KR team is playing with heart and are looking good, but don't fall into the trap. Last season you where all full fo expectancy at this stage and look what happened, do not let your aspirations run riot. The rumour of a new stadium paid for by the council, is just that a rumour its election tiime. The simple fact is that only the labour party could command enough support to push that through, they could well lose control. Building another stadium in Hull is political suicide and no party would even take beyond the "disscusion " stage. The price the council will get for its remaining shares will be lower then the intitial selling, about 2/3 less.

Things are a bit grim over at Hull at the moment, it will not last long and one or two wins and this slump will be a bad memory. We will remain in super league next seasoan, even if the coach, tem and management change.

I wish you luck in your league campaign, but do not listen to the hype, rumours and dam right lies that are being peddled about.

Just keep the belief

I'm sure it was stated on the radio a short while ago that the council still own @ 40% --probably been diluted by all the managers share options and general 'gravy training'!

???
Er no they didnt they sold a proportion of the company via a share issue!!(e.g selling stocks and shares in the company).
They still have a large proportion of the company which is still owned by the council!!
Selling the rest would give the concil another big payday!! and maybe another smaller version of the KC for the east of the city icon_wink.gif

No the council have about 40% of the shares left and the original selling price was £2.25 , lucky if you get 75p for them now. The announcement of any sale of the councils holding will send prices crashing so my price for the council sale will be 60p ..................
