| Fair comment but is 1 negative out of 4 or 5 positive players bad in your eyes then?

No but then I dont credit all development of players down to him. What I do know is we won 4 games in a row last year, leading to a new contract. After 7th July we then proceeded to win 1 game until March.
I would have left his contract in the safe until the end of the season before either offering him an extension, or burning the bugger. He's overseen us treading water for 2 1/2 years IMO.

stopped going on there a lonv while ago, too sycophantic, all negatives are jumped.
Sandercock is a good coach if we have ambitions of being placed 8-10. Anything more and we need better.

| Who is it down too then? But I do agree with holding back with the contract but this is his team now so time will tell and even with players out injured I think we are going well

| Even pro-Sandercock Rovers fans must question a 3 year deal though? WTF?

Some (not all) are just capable of improving themselves. Josh Hodgson for example would have improved at his age under just about any SL coach. Again, my opinion.

I would like him to get a deal but it should be a one year rolling contract keeps him on his toes

Hardly a shock given his age & experience under both coaches.

| Easier to sign players when a coach has a longer term deal.

| I hope this isn't true. What has he done to justify it? Wins at home to 2 of the bottom 3, a home derby win and an away win against an indifferent thus far Warrington. We gave him a new deal after winning 4 in a row last year, and fizzled out completely as we all know. Surely the board don't have that short a memory?! We have a run of 4 winnable games coming up, if he signs a new deal and we lose them all where does that leave us? To me it has to be left until the end of the season, he still has a lot to do to prove hes able to make us anything but an 8-10th place team

| For me a good move but would have wanted a longer deal. whoever the coach is a club like ours needs stability 1 year/3 years is not stability. I have only one slight doubt about Sandercock & that is that he doesn't know the grass roots game in this country & he is quick to go down under for players, but the longer he stays the better our youth policy should get, the more stable the squad becomes & that is when we will start to challenge the big boys for trophy's.

Turning your comment around what hasn't he done deserve one? We've lost against Saints(A),Wigan(A), Leeds(H), Castleford(H) and Catalans(A) in the league. Now prior to the season starting how many of those games would you have realistically expected to win. ERM the Castleford game only probably, In the matches we lost we've played some good halves of rugby in every games except Castleford. Teams will always have off days and for me Castleford was ours but whilst looking at how they are playing and the fact we went into that game missing Poore, Weyman & Langley showed we lacked some punch.
Add that Sandercock's role isn't purely the 1st team he actually has an active role in the youth sides of which both are performing VERY well this year with the U16's side been unbeaten so far this year.

Perhaps the club should inform fans that they are only looking to win one out of every five games , or do not expect to have much chance against decent teams before said fans splash out several hundred pounds having been given expectations of challenging for the top 5 and having aspirations of a decent team.
I am sure the end of season table will tell its usual story of bottom half pluckiness...mixed with some downright awfulness with the odd decent performance...
