Quote: Mrs Barista "For a seat. Under cover. From which you can observe the game. For £2 less than offered at CP. Which doesn't sell out. Hmmm....'"

But none the less operating @ or somewhere close to 98% of capacity each time.

As I originally said, should we in the future have an area of CP that isn't available to buy tickets for until 3 days prior the event. Then we too could possibly open up this area at a heavily discounted rate (to all) instead of it being otherwise empty. As it is, when we're operating @ close to our capacity, we have no real need (or facilities) to speculate to accumulate.

What is the capacity now then? Confusing keeping track with so many HDM articles, Rovers website interviews www.hullkr.tv/?v=126&pg=55 etc.

There's probably little in it, but going with £15 in the South could provide a double winner - the guaranteed derby sellout Mike Smith has spoken to sponsors about and provision of evidence thereof, plus a goodwill gesture to reflect that of the benevolent AP.

Well documents would suggest

2011 - 10250
2012 - 8978

So in actual fact we sold out in 2011 and somehow (and perhaps dangerously) appear to have an extra 108 people in above capacity last year.

So already we have had the sell out Mike Smith has spoken to sponsors about and no reason to suggest anything will change this year. AP's kind gesture isn't anything other than using surplus space that otherwise will be closed. But due to the limited time available, he has had to make it as attractive as possible to justify (recoup) costs of opening the damn thing. I hope it works. The derby has lost something every year and this is a positive step, to redress that. However with 3 days to go a little late. If this was done a week ago, far more people would've taken up the offer. But he wasn't going to do that until he got enough fans paying top dollar first. Don't undersell your stock whilst the demand is high. Then when the demand is less and you have a lot of stock still to sell (but the sell by date is approaching), sell it off as fast as you can. This is more or less what Hull have done. Makes sense, but you have to be careful that the customers don't hold back waiting for the sales again the following year. Rovers on the other hand, have limited stock and high demand for it. For a club on the brink (if some of the rumours we hear from people are to be believed) then it makes no sense to undersell our product when we don't have to. AP has stated he'll spend until his bank manager says no more, so fair play to the guy for his gesture of goodwill for those who take up his £15 a ticket 3 day bonanza.

Right, so you're saying the South Stand sells out every year, then? Hadn't realised that. What's this about FC fans being stayaways then? That makes no sense in this context.

I'm on holiday so can't make it.
I've just booked Ms. Terrorist into a spa on Friday afternoon, I'm not egen sure if any of the pubs will have it on and you lot are wittering about eight sheets?

It would appear so if the attendance figures stated in the media are correct.
Congratulations to Hull fans for selling 1500 odd tickets.
Madness.

The only plausible reason I can think of why the south terrace has looked less packed, is that NHS/Fitfans has worked so effective - that the Hull fans are no longer the obese, triple X rotund lard s they once were. Having now lost an X (maybe two) this has meant that the usual space to accommodate you lot looks spacious when in reality it's full/packed.

For those who need to know...you can pay on the turnstyles for the West Upper.

Sounds like it'll be a 20K+ crowd, can't wait, bring it on!

Rumour has it that rovers fans have bought more tickets since the Hull 19 was announced than they did in the previous month
