So we keep being told. 8 wins out of 10. Fewest points conceded in the league. Second most scored. 8 halves of rugby with no try scored against us (two whole matches where we didn't concede a try). Bounce backed from cruel Wigan defeat to beat Huddersfield away and since St Helens loss, have won 3. Managed without our key playmaker for several weeks. It's surprising us too, but we keep churning out the victories, so we must be something, even if it's not all we are cracked up to be.

| Rovers may pinch this one depending on how well they played at Quins in terms of was it generally on the back of poor Harlequins play or did you play some excellent expansive rugby etc (although the fact that Kris Welham scored four tries perhaps points to the former rather than the latter).
Wire's defence wasn't that good, the majority of our possession in their red zone in the second half was turned over on account of individual handling errors by our team or the wrong option taken rather than anything special defensively and the score certainly flattered Warrington as for 70 minutes the game was most certainly in the balance and but for Sean Long's first half injury Hull may well have produced the goods when on their line with the scores at 10-10/ when Wire were a try ahead. (Wire were undoubtedly the better team over the 80 minutes though)

All memories of the legendary venue which was Wilderspool stadium. Gone maybe, but never, ever forgotten.

Our style of play this year involves grinding sides down before counter attacking with the killer punch. Hull were brave on monday but we always had the measure of them and it was obvious they would crack eventually. We actually scored 23 unanswered points there so must be doing something right! I haven't seen anything from Hull KR this year that worries me and like many people suggest I think they over achieved last year. I think we will win comfortably unless we have a serious off day!

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

You've already beaten his team, didn't hammer them though.
FWIW, I don't fancy us this weekend although with Rovers there is always a chance we might put together 60 decent minutes and hang on for the other 20.
On the flip side, I recall many, many Wire fans coming on here telling us they'd put 80 past us about 4 years ago...

Shudder.
Last year's quarter final made up for it in my mind.
Anyway, I fully expect a tight game on Sunday. Doubt either team will run away with it. We will lose another match soon, I'm sure, as I don't think we're that good to go the rest of the season unbeaten. We have been really lucky with injuries (bar Briers) this year and that helps.

| Another tough game this weekend.
Very good performance against Quins and nice confidence booster, plus a good win for the Wire against a patched up FC.
I'm pretty sure our pack can match theirs and there going to need to if we have any chance of winning.

| If Westwood is back, that might just tip it in our favour. Ben Harrison was out on his feet on Monday and Louis played 65 minutes for the second match running. With Briers back, we can use Grix in the pack though which helps with the rotation.

Think youre underestimating the effort that the patched up FC side put in.

Agreed. Hudds apart that was the best we have played at home.
Put it this way, it will take a huge handicap to stop me backing Wire this week.

| I thought Wire looked a good side against us, inventive in the backs and tough in the forwards. That said had we had our first team out I reckon we'd have taken them.
Think it will be close again this week after Rovers gaining a confidence boosting win but I would say Wire to win by 10/12 points.

| I think we need to back up after a good win. I've no doubt that we have the players capable of winning, it's just a question of them all being on the park in the right positions with the right mind set. Something we have had difficulty achieving this year.
Come on you Reds!

You should have hammered our patched up side but didn't, hence my belief you aint that good. You've been pretty lucky with injuries so far. Lose morley and/or carvell for any length of time and you'll struggle
