I agree with you there.

I think some people give Fitzhenry a bad press. Did you see the winning penalty at St. Helens?

| I think we should switch how we use Fish n Fitz.
IMO Fisher should start and lay a good platform then Fitzy should come on after 20/30 mins and run rings round some tired legs.
No doubt that Ben has better distribution but I like using them both.
Also thought Fitz did a great job deputising at FB today.

Maybe he is seeing a player that is more than competent in several positions, he looked good today when swtiched full back, he is an accomplished winger, a good centre. He is the type of player who every club needs in the squad, when has he let us down.

| One thing that i've noticed with Fitz is that he never gets pushed back in the tackle and he goes forward making it look effortless most of the time.

He has been getting lessons off Garrett Crossman.
Oh wait....

Because he is a quality player, unfortunately some of our less knowledgeablr fans seem to constantly need to have a player who is scapegoat. Watch Fitzy across the season and you will see how good he is as a team man.

Yes I would prefer if we started with Fisher and used Fitzhenry as impact when the opposition forwards have been broken down a little. Didn't concede with Fitzhenry at Full back did we? He played well.

Yeah that's a shame. Today I think the two targets were Netherton and I'Anson.
Netherton doesn't make as many yards as our other props, but his defence is good. Thought I'Anson did well second half after being low on confidence. His pass for Fox's try was good, and Fox recognised this.

Totally agree. Fitzy's distribution from dummy-half is consistently accurate and he's less likely than Fisher to throw the occasional dodgy pass.
He's faster and stronger than Fisher although Fisher is certainly more direct - and that in itself is the main criteria most fans use when judging any player.

Its a criteria I use for judging mine, in our first season I had Jason Netherton as mine for all those reasons, its easy to pick a fast winger who gets 30 tries, I always look at WHY he has thirty tries, its usually because the unsung lads are doing the hard graft to make the chances for them.
We will not get anywhere with a team full of players like Fox, we need the Fitzies, Charlies and Nethertons as well.

Yeah I agree. But what if we had a team of Stanley Gene's?

Some fair points there.
I think you'd see even better from both if Fisher started and Fitzhenry came off the bench in a sort of Jame Roby kind of role.

How have you worked that out? Fisher's distribution is first class as we saw yesterday when he came on, the game changed. Fisher brings so much more to the role and what you lose when he's off outways what Fitzy brings at Hooker in my opinion. I like Fitz, but Fisher is twice the Hooker he is.

I personally think Makali changed the game with his impact and go-forward and Fisher fed off that rather that Fisher creating it by himself.
I don't disagree that Fisher is a more complete hooker but Fitzhenry is a more composed professional.
Alternating their respective roles might be worth a punt but let's wait until Vella is back fit and see how we go when he starts.
