if rovers need a few quid in the till quickly why didnt they just start flogging the season passes a bit earlier at an extra discounted price with a £60 deposit, balance to be paid later and maybe chuck in a couple of vouchers in for the club shop.

really cant see the point of a members club when its not really offering anything to get the fans excited.

My thoughts precisely.

I have no problems with the concept of a club membership scheme, but its benefits should be clearly indicated at its launch.

People only seem to be looking at the instant £60 benefit to Rovers and not the longterm benefits.

Presumably the club will be able to collect lots of data on the fans, demographics and spending habits (so they can cater more specifically to each demographics needs. I.e. Finding out men aged 41 are more likely to buy a scarf then a 31 year old female (and therefore design a scarf taylored to the older male market = higher sales).

Additionally they will be able to sell the data of the fans spending habits on sites such as amazon or wherever they offer discount with the card to marketers.

I think this is a tremendous 21st century idea by the club with longterm benefits to the club (and hopefully the fans) and not just a get rich quick scheme.

Aw come on !! Some how I cant quite believe that demographics, spending trends and finding out what pattern 41 yr old blokes like on their scarves even passed any of your board members minds during this launch.

It is another way of raising funds fast and im not knocking such ideas. I just think the club could have put together a far better and inviting package than what they have offered.

This is an example of the British mentality of accepting any old shoite wrapped up in a pretty packet.

TBF I never really had much. Another season with no first choice right centre and no scrum half in the squad and a coach that thinks a gameplan is telling the players to give it a good go.

We could well finish 13th. Especially as we have 10 players out through injury.
