We don’t have any non-federation spots free.
Unless that changes, anybody we sign must have learned their RL trade in this country or France (limiting it to countries on this side of the world with pro clubs and a record of producing SL standard players), or have some sort of exemption. E.g. under 21 years old, or coming from RU, or RFL random decision generator beneficiary.

But looking at the Cook Islands flag it has the Union Jack on their flag do they still belong to us or are they like the Aussie and New Zealand

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

| Brilliant mate, viva The Empire, anywhere with a Union Flag should be fair game, probably just as sensible as the RFL's rules.
On Hall, I like him as a bloke and I think we should have kept him, but no where near good enough with his decisions to play full back.
Quinlan could go in the halves and we could try and sign Gigot to play full back, although I assume he's got a high profile gig somewhere already which is why The Butcher fell out with him.

Are you thinking of Johnathon Ford? The population of the Cook Islands is similar to that of Featherstone, so there’s a reasonable chance I guess.
Like fellow Cook Islands international, former Robin, namesake and indeed cousin, Byron, JF was born in New South Wales. JF started out in the Newcastle Knights system before playing a handful of games for the Sydney Roosters. Definitely non-federation trained, irrespective of the status of the Cook Islands (self-governing, in free association with New Zealand) and his Irish ancestry.

Doesn't matter if he has a British passport. He is non-fed trained so we would need to move someone on.

A good question,Hauraki is into his last season as a player and would have been my choice as player of the year. Quinlan terrific when fit,but not fit often enough.Hauraki was amazing last year and is retiring at the end of 2020,Quinlan spent most of the season injured or playing injured and seems injury prone, would be my choices if I had to pick, garbutt if his knees recover enough would have to be the other option.I would have thought hauraki who has played in england since 2010 may have been granted exemption, but obviously not.
Does the fact mason lino is samoan make any difference?
Our neighbours,have kelly tuimavave,ma'u,fonua.satae,sao,faiamo,which is 7.
