It does seem strange when our forwards really need freshening up

Well, the away record continues, our appalling record at Cas goes on, and the pack clearly didn't stand up. The only surprise was the margin of victory should have been greater in truth.
Not seen the game on tv, how late was the hit on Campese? It appeared to be 3 tackles after he kicked the ball!

| Cas were niggling all match. The late tackle on Campese will benifit another team as I'm sure a match ban will come from that. Campese was targeted all match today. The Massey try was from a knock on from Shenton aswell.

| I called the knock on at the time, but I'm not having any form of excuse here, we were miles off the pace and once again, Cas made us look 2nd rate. It happens year after year at their place. Our line speed was terrible and I reckon the stats will show they made 400+ metres more than Rovers.
Even Thaler couldn't mask a performance as average as that.

| Never mind having time to pull out of it, he only initiated the tackle after he'd kicked it. Looked like they were holding us down for a second longer than we did, but when you win the floor that's what happens. Hope Tilse can have the effect we need him to have

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Interesting kick from Dixon.'"
In all the games I've ever played in or watched, which must be into the thousands, I've never seen a team take an attacking kick on their opponents thirty metre line and then have to defend on their own forty.
And then we let him take a drop out.
We were awful and lucky not to concede fifty to a very well drilled and organised Cas team. Full credit to Cas, our defence was pretty good up until minutes sixty five to seventy five, they were full value.
I think this Cas team is arguably more impressive than last year in proving 2014 wasn't a flash in the pan.
Second year in a row that Rovers idiot supporters have spoilt the game for me by being hammered before the game even kicks off and fighting amongst themselves.
You know who you are Mr. Pink Primark T. Shirt, do us all a favour and never attend a game again.

| Cas were far the better side and fully deserved the win. That pitch is a massive advantage to them. The size and unevenness makes it difficult for the away team.
What is the rules on hand offs. The Carney one looked more like a slap and gauge than a straight hand off..Surely that's not legal.

Funniest thing I have seen on an RL field for a very long time. It was the opposite of a 40-20, and must be a record for the amount of ground lost directly from a kick!
Campese had launched his two previous drop-outs over the half way line - why on Earth was Dixon then taking one? I also loved how Dixon ran away from Carney when he picked up a ball behind the try-line, Carney just patted him on the head like a little boy who didn't fancy getting hurt.
Overall, the game was won in the forwards. Our pack of Lynch, Millington, Holmes, Massey, Mariano, Jewitt and Boyle just made easy ground with simple carries up the middle.
I though Campese looked a class act, he moves the ball quickly and looks to have loads of time to pick his pass. Thought Dixon was awful in both attack and defence (and his kicking game left a lot to be desired too).

| I imagine it was. If I was a Cas fan, I'd have found it incredibly funny, in time I will too.
You're dead right, we've been running short of grunt in the forwards for weeks and it was always going to catch up with us, having said that, you're pack were excellent and we again got to see why it was a mistake to let Mariano go.
Campese wasn't at his best tonight, but no complaints from me. Cas far superior, and loads of plaudits to Darryl Powell, really good to see him continuing to succeed.
