External Hard drive has just failed.
Looking at getting another one as I want to back up my photos so I don't lose them if the main one goes ( my back-ups were on my now dead external).
Price from a pre-made one is £1 cheaper then buying the parts and doing it myself (Done it before when I recycled an old IDE drive (The one that failed)) and the reviews of the parts are far better than the review for the pre-made one.
So parts it is.
The reason I mention it is that the company that pre-makes them must be making a fair old bit as they will get the components dirt cheap (far cheaper than me) I would imagine and I can see them knocking out loads per hour to more than cover wages.

Yes, mines gone too with about seven hundred CD's that I individually ripped onto it into flac.
