As a rovers fan I didn't like losing yesterday. That being said, the best team won on the day (hard to admit but true) and secondly I have yet to see a referee take the field with the premeditated intention to favour one team over the other. If we are being honest then Thaler is probably the best ref in the league at the moment, certainly better than Silverwood and Bentham. The refs make mistakes but not as many as the players do, this was alluded to by CS in his post match interview where he stated "individual errors cost us dear". I'm not a ref and wouldn't want to be one but can everyone just get off their backs. As someone smarter than me once said "control the controllable" and "the teams performance should be good enough to take the ref out of the equation".

I'll further annoy my fellow KR fans by saying good luck at Wembley FC, as they are representing our county against the vastly inferior county of Lancashire.

What really surprised me about yesterday was the fact that I thought rovers would make us battle hard for the win knowing we would have Wembley on our minds. In reality we absolutely coasted through the game, I think we will probably have to use more energy against Salford.

Don't think you coasted pal and up until the mad 6 minutes where you scored 3 times, the contest was pretty even. Hull wanted this win as much as Rovers and all in all it was a good full blooded derby with plenty of biff like it always should be.

I disagree, in the first half we just did the basics and relied on Holdsworth's boot, stepped it up a bit in the 2nd but you didn't make us work hard for the points.

I think for our own sakes we have be careful about getting paranoid about refs. They might not be brilliant, but I think I've seen all of them labelled as 'not liking us', recently. Apart from Alibert perhaps, as he's generally considered not quite up to pursuing a vendetta. Anyway - does that seem likely?

The psychology of conspiracy theories is that every bit of evidence that supports it is grabbed, while stuff that points in the other direction is ignored or rationalised away. The refs aren't very good, but they're not out to get us. Unconscious big club bias aside. The Ganson thing at MM was shocking, but he missed a blatant forward pass the year before, and we (Rovers fans) accepted that was incompetence rather than suspecting anything more sinister.
If we want consistency and fairness from refs, we should offer them the same.

Well I could say that Hull KR took the foot off the gas in the 2nd half but I won't because its disrespectful to the opposition. Hull no more 'just did the basics' as Rovers didn't take their foot off the gas.
