I never said that I don't accept that they are a good pairing - I haven't actually seen them play together. However to suggest that they are the best half back pairing in Super League seems a little premature.

Instead of being bitter and jealous towards our superior half-back pairing to yours, you should swallow your pride and pay a transfer fee to Doncaster to sign Paul Cooke now that James Wule no longer at your club because when all's said and done, Cooke is better than what you have now.

Cooke is still only 31 and ran 7 marathons in 7 days last year so he could easily get back up to the required fitness.

If you wallow in bitterness towards the past and pass on this opportunity to sign him, you'll be reading James Smailes' annual "Hull's new half-back pairing may take time to gel" tripe for years to come.

The pairing at Catalan is the only one that comes remotely close to been better then Dobson and Burns.

Exactly my feelings, but we're hull KR and they're hull FC, they'd pick every other pairing in the league before ours.
