Just over 4000 with about 12 from Salford. But it is a long trek for a friendly i guess.

Can't say much about the away following, in todays economic climate and their neck of the woods having heavy frost calling games off most fans would have decided not to plan to come to this game earlier in the week. I don't really think Rovers needed to open the North Stand when all those could have fitted in the Well or East Stand. As they tried saving a few bob by turning the lights off at half time I am surprised they wasted money on staffing that stand!!

I left the game feeling positive about the way Green went.

Green organised his side very well, with some great combos been played.
Just what we needed, along with some offloads.
Best thing for me upto now is seeing our goal line defence - obviously been worked on during the off season and once again in the friendlies were we have given away pens on the line to test ourselves.

Agree we do seem to pride ourselves on a good goal line defence however had a couple of their passes not strayed forward we could have easily found ourselves worrying about our goal line defence.

Morgan usually says that our scrambling defence is very good but is that a good thing to start off with? surely if you are scrambling you have a weak line of defence in the first place?

As good as our defence appears I still fear the likes of Wigan will rip us apart out wide especially with Richards out wide.

Green was doing all the organising, shouting the plays etc, which will free up Dobbo to play his role more effectively without all the responsibility he has had.

Could be a very shrewd move by Morgan, Green is not the best 6 in the world, but he might just be the best fit for our team from what I have seen.

Looks a good signing from what i've seen, fingers crossed him and Dobbo can really Gel as the season progresses!

hes a amazing player. great with the ball i want him to stay at rovers for the rest of his life!!

He's fantastic, better than Rodger The Dodger, Wally Lewis, Ellery Hanley and Benji Marshall combined.

I want him to live for ever, never take his Rovers kit off, live in my house, hell, I'll even let him have a little go on Ms. pmh if he buys me a Mini Milk.

I think the rfl will cut down even more this season the back chatting to refs the players must get so frustrated I bet macrae is seething.
