Thought Hull defended the short grubber kicks really well yesterday. On most occasions a Hull player was first to the ball on the back of reading the play and this is one area where we have struggled with recently IMO.

Any kind of decent additional half back would have won us the game. We had so much possesion in the second half and did nothing with it. Too much on Dobbo's shoulders IMO. Credit where it's due; FC'S goal line defence was excellent.

Was the best ive seen us defend the grubber this year. We seemed to want to block the kick at all costs and react quickly to the loose ball. Normally we dont stick a leg out or anything.

Thats garbage! Either that or Billy Slater always plays against a poor kicker. Of course the defence can determine if a kick is good or bad, its called reading the play.
