Right now if I were picking a Rep side I would have Raynor in ahead of Fox. Nothing to do with playing for Rovers but I have always had doubts about him even at Wakey. He has age on his side and could develop into a very good winger but Raynor has a decent record against the Kiwis and the Aussies.

Raynor's form doesn't warrant a place in front of Fox though even taking into account his tail off at the end of the season

Fox is younger I will give you that, but I still think that Raynor is a better winger than Fox, if he played for a better team such as Saints, Leeds or even Rovers last years he would have scored loads of trys. He never gets the ball at Hull. The only area that Fox is better IMO is speed. He has always doen well for GB when he has played.
The fact that Raynor getting on and that he has been part of a poor Hull team for the last two years is why he isnt in the England squad.

in his prime Raynor was a class act.....he has now lost that half yard of pace which is important to any winger and has gone from being 'a class act' to just decent. Put him with a decent centre & he will score the tries but not from 90 metres out.

| Fox's game really goes on confidence, if he catches his first one or two bombs then he has the confidence and goes on to have a good game, if his confidence is knocked early on with a knock-on ect, then he goes on to have a mare of a game.
Which centre will be playing inside him?

| I suppose we should all be happy that a well respected, experienced coach with a succesful career is choosing the side he thinks will do a better job against the best from down under, rather than fans from the other side who undoubtedly have their own agenda.

You might be right, saying that he hasnt had the chance for the last two years for Hull
I think it is time to give some younger players a chance for GB an dtry and build a team for the future.
I dont think Tom Briscoe is ready for international football yet, but I would have had him in front of Sykes (there are also plenty of other I would have had in front of him), that along with the hooker situation in the only disapointment in the squad for me.

personally i would like to see the likes of Briscoe, Tomkins & Eastmond bloodied in these 4 nations........they are the future.........even if they're not quite international class the experience would be invaluable.

Why does everything with you have to come down to Hull and Rovers. We are surely able to discuss players on their abilities rather than which club they play for?
The one reason Ryanor is not in is probably down to the fact he was injured for a long time last season and also the fact that Smith seems to want to move the squad on and pick and blood some younger players.
Not being picked for GB or England does not make you a bad player.
