| You have heard it here first - no Hull KR players in the England squad!
Shameful, but true!

Ridiculous decision. So stupid, I can't help but smile. Thankfully, I don't have a huge emotional investment in the England team. Tom Briscoe is in according to the HDM - bags of potential, an excellent choice for England 'A', but a senior international ahead of about 10 players in his position who are better [inow[/i... farcical. He was only in the Hull team due to injuries, until he got crocked himself.
My only slight worry is that we might struggle to attract players with England ambitions. Ho-hum. At least those who deserved a place are are tied to contracts and will hopefully be out to prove a point (again ). If there is no Briscoe, I hope Wellens is FB - Smith would be dreadful insult.

| I am shocked that S. Briscoe and Fox, but especially Brisc not been in the squad, I think that is a shocking kick in the face by Smith.
And no offence to Tom Briscoe, he's an ok player with potential, but he's injured for gods sake. If theres gonna be another 13 names gonna be add to this initial 17, why couldn't he be one of them

| Until we see the full 17 we can't say whether not including Fox and S. Briscoe was a good or bad decision. If it's a train on squad to give players experience, then Brisc and Fox have already done that. But if it isn't and he's picked an injured Tom Briscoe in front of Fox, his head needs looking at

| It is another example of how much further we are pulling ahead of Hull when all they can do is laugh at us for not having players picked for England.
Still if it keeps them off the streets what harm can it do

| Quote PAUL M="PAUL M"Not sure Fox will be a shoe in tbh looking at the wingers who have emerged this season, much more competition for places now. Think it depends on who he plays at fullback too.
If Smith plays at fullback then he has a choice of Hodgson, Hall, Fox, Ainscough, Gardner, Calderwood and Raynor (if fit). If he chooses a different fullback then Smith is also another winger to add to the list.
As for Welham, I don't think he is international class.'"
Cough, cough
I still think Fox could end up playing against France but it will be interesting to see who has got in ahead of him.

Nice to see even Hull FC fans think it is a laughable decision.
If it is just to grab headlines, I hope that those that have missed out have been forewarned. T. Briscoe's inclusion is so left-field, that I've no idea whether he'll be in place of a wing or a centre. Not that it matters in the short-term, as he'll still be injured for the France game, won't he?
Hope the lad does well though and makes the most of this unexpected opportunity, when he does get fit.
