Welham isn't crap, his defence is usually crap, but his attack is very good. His defence against Warrington was very good for a change.

Surely he is not demanding the earth he might stay if he got offered a fair deal to represent his true value to te squad.

His attack is not 'very good' at all and his defence is so bad that he can never be considered any more than average. It's all relative.

Webster, Hall, Salter. All 3 would score 20+ playing left centre with both Galea & Dobson putting them on a plate for you. Almost all our attacks go that way so it stands to reason.

Another reason Welham scores so many is because he still hasn't learned how to put his winger away. I would be more impressed if he could pass than score. Look what happened in Manchester when his winger finally got a pass.

I would plead with the board to reconsider and get round the negotiating table. Tomkins aside, there is no better full back in SL at this moment ( and I include Brett Hodgson in that).
