Awful game management with two in the bin.

Just shows the gulf between the top and bottom teams. A half decent team would’ve put a couple of scores on the board.

That was the defining moment of the game imo. Rovers just seemed to panic. The gaps are there, you just need to be patient and the chances will come, but they were doing some really brainless things. I was very disappointed in McGuire during that spell. A man of his experience should be able to show better composure than that.

Believe it or not I was hoping for a Rovers win. The 1980 rematch will have to wait another year.

So was I. A semi final between Hull and Rovers would have been a historic first in the CC competition having been in the last 4 on 2 previous occasions in the 80's and not being drawn against one another.

My appetite for such a fixture was rather limited.



I always want us to win but last night... I still did, but I had a sense it’d only set us up for a humiliation in the semi, or maybe on the biggest stage if we drew the Bulls or Fax. That and to a lesser the need to focus on scraping together another 4 or 5 league wins meant that defeat was met with a shrug.

I’ve got the game recorded, but I preferred to watch my recording of Toronto vs Golden State, rather than watching Rovers in real time. There’s no fun in it tbh, as Hudgell alluded to a while back. I’ll watch the tries back on HKRTV and save myself 90 minutes of familiar frustration.

I hope the Rovers players are more motivated than me, or we really are doomed.



Great game from Pascal Siakam though!

Really poor performance last night, no composure, no defencive line speed, our missed tackles amaze me, a sub unused AGAIN,
The scoreline flattered Rovers last night, Warrington did the same as we did at Anfield and put the cue on the rack and defended what they had. We just werent smart enough to make the most of it, saying that if you cant make the most of playing 11 men you dont deserve to win.
I thought Hicks had a decent game

In the radio interview, he comes close to saying Addy is rubbish, bottles it, then blames Atkin's final kick for the loss. He just can't see it. Ge has now gone more than half the season only using 3 subs. Sheens out.

the 2 sin bins were down to desperation on warrys part not our fault.the whole of the 1st half from the halves was poor thats what cost us the game ,better side 2nd period,dont buy the fatigue rubbish ,sheens is right for once blew it early

Thought your match last night was our season in 80 min. Shite first 50 really good last 30.Bit of luck you could have got a draw at the end.
