What did we learn from todays game I for one witnessed the worst debut I've ever seen and although he looks like and has the same last name jonnie Walker isn't a patch in his brother and in Neville costigan we have at least one player who can tackle

Second best on the day but could and should have won. The key thing that lost us that game was team selection, a back line of welham, ulugia, hall and gardener screams as a weakness and thats what happened. Strange selections all over.

Listening to HS after the game and sandy said there was only looking to give ulugia 50 to 60 mins. 1. Why play him if he's not fit enough give him 2 weeks at Gateshead for match fitness. 2. Why not have a ready made centre to replace him if that was his plan? Strange thinking

Sandy is good at coaching individuals but has no team tactics or strategy. Hall is Eden in disguise made 1 try but bombed another, makes too many other mistakes and carries the ball too loosely.

We lost this in the first 30 with three walk in Widnes tries. However, isn't it strange that when Lovegrove came on after 30 we started to play well, and when he was taken off with 15 to go we collapsed? Yet Sandy doesn't rate him. Both he and Charlie at least play with passion.

Ulugia obviously isn't quite match fit, but the only way for him to get there is for him to play in matches. Bit of a catch 22 that one.

Overall, we played crap but weren't far off in the end. Tighten the defence, come up with someone who can advise on a game strategy and roll on Salford.

We lack any leadership or direction. Either burns or Keating need to grab the game and organise plays and set up for the following plays. We would of won at least 3 more games if we had that. We actually look scared and clueless attacking

But if the coach isn't supplying any decent game plans they have to make it up as the go along, which is how they looked today.

What do they work on then because it sure isn't defence. Dobson give us shape and direction and tbh won us a lot of games last season. I'm not slating Keating because I think part a of his game are better then dobson but that's what part of his game that the teams missing most

Burns & Keating had to turn back inside or run the ball on a number of occasions, a combination of Widnes' line speed & Hicks comedy 10m. When we got the defence going backwards we looked reasonably organised. Scoring 29 points should be enough to get a result.

The only try scored today that was from organisation was Welham's because we attacked fast and moved the ball. We could have done that all day if they we didn't just one pass run plays all the time

Wow I missed the worst debut ever. Is that referring to Ulugia? He did more with the ball than Salter has managed in 2 seasons. He actually put his winger away down the touchline 1st half. Lots of tries down his side but didn't look his fault.

Stepping into touch when he caught a kick down field was a new career high light to go with his numerous lost balls and missed touch finders from penalties.
Played terribly but should have beat a side in 5th who've won 5 on the run.
We could finish anywhere from 5th. Injuries will have a big say on who finishes where. Widnes lose Brown they're f++ked. We have a bit of cover.
