| I thought of Lovegrove and Netherton as primarily 2nd rowers, at the start of the season, but they have to a greater or lesser extent played as props. So even if one or both get new contracts, there may be a need for a new back rower - especially if Gene calls it quits.
On the other hand Walker will play in the back row next year, I assume, and Taylor sounds like he has a lot of promise. So unless Murrell starts spending a significant amount of time at hooker, we'd surely only need to bring one in.

| In yesterdays League Weekly Justin says he would like Stan to stay another season, but its too early for the club or the player to enter into talks about a new contract just yet. I hope he stays for one more season.

| Fully agree that Clint is wasted at prop. Been quite noticeable the games he has had less impact is when he has been playing prop.I have said a few times lets give Liam Watts some game time even if it is from the bench IMO he is better now than Mills will ever be.

Don't get me wrong i like Liam Watts and think he has a big future but what i've seen of him this season in the reserves he hasn't been that good. I am though prepared to say its more down to the poor quality of the reserve grade and the players around him more than anything else but to say he is better now than David Mills is way off the mark.

| fc were interested in gilmour a few seasons ago, the reason he chose not to move to hull was the location, i guess some players just don't want to up sticks and move east

| Good move for Gilmour and a good signing for Hudds. He's not the sort of player we need, though.

Id have taken him in a shot.
Good signing for Hudds.
The relocation point is a good one, some players just dont fancy living round this way.
