I got the impression from Hudgells interview that signings will be very thin on the ground.
Quote: Neil Hudgell "Maybe, maybe not!!! We aren't panicking. We want the right players in or we won't bother at all. I expect a 3-4 player turnover. How that happens will be dictated by several considerations. We may need to move a player or two out to bring players in. There's still plenty of time for that to happen. Don't forget we have done plenty of business renewing deals over the season with front line players and have had very high player turnover during the last 3 years. We now have quality and stability so can afford to be selective. We have turned down a hatful of opportunities.'"

Also with them wanting to make the club a profit making company it could very well be the playing side that suffers.

No, but I'd expect 2 more signing this year, either 2 props or a prop and a hooker. Minimum would be 1 prop.

Or are they where your trip to Dubai went??'"

[iHULL KR coach Justin Morgan insists he's in no rush to bolster his front line – despite continuing links with NRL stars.
The Robins are in the market for at least one new prop before the start of next season, following the departures of Makali Aizue and Nick Fozzard.
Brisbane's Joel Clinton, and Queensland pair Antonio Kaufusi and Manase Manuokafoa have been touted as possible targets, and all fit Morgan's criteria.
However, despite speculation building, the KR coach insists his search is still at an early stage, with no decisions made.
And he said he is prepared to wait until NRL clubs have adjusted their salary caps to see exactly who is available.
"We have about five or six irons in the fire and all but one of them are overseas players," Morgan told the Mail.
"The market is not flooded with free agent props. We will wait and find the one best suited for us.
"It's a fluid situation where things can change all the time.
"We will not be signing anyone just for the sake of it, we will bide our time.
"I don't make it a habit to speak about players who are still contracted at clubs.
"But if they were to become available then we would be interested."
The Mail understands Melbourne Storm's Ryan Tandy, who helped Rovers survive their first season in Super League, could be another possible target.
Tandy joined the Robins in May 2007 and played 12 games as the club fought for survival.
Last Sunday, Tandy helped the Storm win their second Grand Final in three years but his future is still undecided.[/i

Likewise. Before leaving Rovers he was becoming the form prop in the team and i know a lot of fans were dissapointed we weren't able to sign him for the following season.

I don't think that is quite true, I was led to believe that he wanted to head back down under whether he was offered a contract or not by Rovers.

That is what he said at the time. His decision has been validated in his form and will now cost a club much more to sign him than in 2007.

I'm totally relaxed about the whole situation; Justin Morgan has a proven track record of signing quality players who progress the team and club - this year will be no different.

I expect at least 2, probably 3 players more new signings. Of the released players; Fozzard, Gene, Aizue, Esders & Fitzhenry, there's only Fitzhenry I would have wanted to keep but already without the pending new signings, we've made some excellent and safe investments that represent good value in some young and hungry players with bags of potential such as Ratu, Cook & Hodgson.

FC fans should contain their giddy excitement at signing a bunch of old has-beens because we've heard it all before and (more importantly) seen it all before that when it comes down to the crunch, they can't hack it with the big boys like us and that's just the way it is...
