Well said. For all the moaning and groaning on here (fully justified I might add), Hull's players did nothing wrong and any blame should be attached to Ganson, who once again proved that he hasn't got a clue. There's too much looking after their own at Red Hall and its time someone there got a grip and sorted out things such as this.

Seconded. The result should stand. It did last year.
However the 'character' called Ganson has had way too many chances. This time he has absolutely nowhere to hide. Rank incompetance by a man sat in a box who clearly wasn't even watching the game. Enough is enough. Sack Ganson.

| Quote: Easty "The effort from the Rovers players yesterday was fantastic. We played for 77 minutes in sweltering heat with a man down and 30 minutes of the second half with only two interchanges left. I honestly went yesterday feeling for the worst. Yet for 70 minutes we defended really well and the players ran there blood to water, As a fan that's all you can ever ask. I can take getting beat by any team if I know the players tried their hardest and knowing they had made the result that bit easier to swallow.
I'd also like to add that the effort from the fans was also truly awesome for the full 80 minutes. Even after Hull won the game we where awesome. Really loud and did the boys proud. Showed the Hull fans up completely. The repertoire of songs we have is vast whilst Hulls must truly be written on a postcard. I remember watching the Hull fans dissapear last year before the Hull players had even got to them. We seemed to stay to a man and applaud the players. Our class outshone them 10 fold.
Rally round the robins.........Bring on Bradford.'"
Totally agree with the 1st part.
But...
Only a complete one-eye could write such nonsense in that 2nd paragraph, small-club mentality at it's best. You've embarrassed yourself there, really quite childish.

Oh wait...
There's no guarantee that Rovers would have drawn. Hull could still have gone on to win had the penalty been given. If you believe this "reliable source" in the slightest (or believe anyone else will believe it) then you're an absolute pleb!

If the RFL gave us a point back then I would snatch their hand off, Not that I think they will for 1 minute.
Last years cock up was for a forward pass, unfortunatly forward passes are part of our game and happen week in and week out. And it didn't cost Fc the game.
Gansons offside cock up,which actually did cost us the game, shouldn't have happened as he had time to check it over and over again.
Apart from Ganson being involved the two incidents are totally different in comparision.

Total double standards there, how can you say one decision didn't cost us the game but the one on Saturday did, when the try was scored, their was a few minutes left in which anything could have happened.
If you get the point then that would be a bigger mistake than the one Ganson made.

Not double standards at all.If ours had been a forward pass decision then fair enough.
I don't see how anyone can even compare the decisions.
Forward passes are missed in every game,Hull FC aren't the only team to have a forward pass decision go against them resulting in a try,and they won't be the last. We went on to score another 2 tries, which is what cost you the game.
The offside error has never been made by a VR before as it is simple and clear to see that Green was offside and even if Ganson tracked the wrong man, then surely he saw that the player he tracked didn't score the try!!!!
This error will probably never happen again.
That is why Martin Offiah and others are calling for Ganson to get the sack,
That is why Tomkins,Bailey,Pryce and loads more RL players are saying its the WORST decision they have ever seen. This mistake is on a totally different level to a forward pass.

| Good post Easty for the most part.
I must say I was impressed by your performance on Saturday. Like most I thought we started as favourites and once again we just could not deliver at Magic. I don’t think we turned up as the team who have played so well recently, but that is also in large part down to the immense effort of the Red and Whites.
I feel we will come back from this and get back into gear. However it bamboozles me exactly what happens to your lot in the week before Magic. You really do come out a completely different team, (apart from last year) and on Saturday I thought you looked as intense as any team we’ve played this year.
Overall you deserved to win the game.
Your attack looked speedy and dangerous, and I thought we did well to keep you out. But it was your defence that surprised me. All season you’ve been moaning about it and yet it shows you can defend as well as any top side when the team is in the zone.
How do you get that consistency into your game ??? If you could deliver performances like that each week it would guarantee fringes of top 4 never mind scrambling about in 9th 10th spot.
I think Sandercock can coach. He’s just taking his time getting there in my opinion, and that could be his downfall sadly. He’s done wonders for your attack and if he could do the same for your defence as he clearly did on Saturday then you may well already have your man. He just may look back and wish he sorted both out together, Just could be difficult now coaching how to keep the other ball in the air, without dropping the first one.
But if he can sort out the defence to Saturdays levels maintain Saturdays intensity levels and build consistency then you will be right back up there.
Considering you lost George early on and then Lovegrove who was having a really good game it was an even more impressive effort than the scoreline suggests. And maybe that’s what lost you it on Saturday because we smash and grabbed in the last 7 minutes. Don’t get me wrong, I was truly elated at our win, at the end I went berserk and was truly amazed that sport can bring such low and high emotions. But I’m one who wants both sides of the City to be a force. I just want us to be a bigger force.
Bottle up what that team of yours had on Saturday and you wont be far off. And if we can stay one step in front we’ll be a champion team which is where I want us to be and where I think were going.
A brilliant nerve jangling game of RL and a great effort by your side, one for you to be proud of.
The least said about the VR the better. You win and lose on such decisions but that one was as bad as I’ve ever seen.
Ganson made the mother of cock ups and he should lose his job for it. I wont wait for it. Neither will I wait for for RedHall to sort out so many other very poor decisions that are seriously effecting our great game.
Well done anyway, very unlucky on the day. It was just our turn to get away with it this year and smoke the cigar.

And Rovers might have only needed a drop goal if the scores had remained 16-all, so lets not go down that path.
Any RFL intervention would set the wrong type of precedent so lets move on. The mistake lies with the officials not with FC.
Yes it was a vastly improved 'effort' by Rovers but now they have to reproduce it against the Bulls. That will be the acid test although the injury list is looking even more ominous with Lovegrove and George very doubtful.

It was more in response to some of your fans saying Ganson cost them the "points" (indicating they thought they'd go on to win). That path has already been trodden, I was just letting them see the alternative path.
Agree with the rest though.
