I mean, seriously, how often do we concede shortly after the start of a half?
Was that not an issue last year, even?
You get primed and it's 'here we GO... oh.'
That is a massively inexperienced back line, in fairness, and I guess there's only one way to get experience.

| 48-42 London FT.
Two poor teams, with that abysmal first half hour proving costly to Rovers in the end.

| 48-42 to London! Only lost out on goals in the end, as the teams split 16 tries.
End of season, shackles off a bit I guess. only 21 league points, but a +24 points difference.
Both most points for (by nearly 100, I think!) and against in SL.

| To score 36 then 42 in our final two games and end up losing them both is criminal and says all you need to know about Rovers defence this year.

| A terrible season is now over, thank god! Mr Sandercock, the work starts now for you. Another season like this one and you will be gone!

| I wouldn't go so far as to say terrible.
The emergence of several academy products that look as if they can and will cope at this level have saved it.
I agree though, another season like this and he won't be getting another contract.

I agree. 1 win from the last 10 was particularly dispiriting. Only 1 more point than we managed in 2007, despite there being, IMO, more weak teams. But tbf, we went very close a number of times in that bad run, we had probably our worst SL season for injuries and CS inherited the problems created by some indifferent post-2008 recruitment.
We're looking at accelerating the process of bringing in the young players according NH, and CS has to balance the need to do that (with results that inevitably won't always be pretty), with making sure we win a dozen games or so.

| I admire your positivity, but im looking at rovers at a glass half empty scenario. And i hope i`m wrong, but i just dont have any confidence in Sandercock. Its up to him now to put me and the doubters wrong next season, but i just cant see it.

| i think the seasons being ok rugbys a lot better to watch than morgans robotic style a lot of young players bloodied so in my mind we have sacrificed play offs this year but the young players will be prepared for next season .We might have a couple of seasons like this but it will be better in the long run and to everyone whos moaning just remember the 90s

| We've been competetive in practically every game this season, no real hammerings, and a more expansive style of rugby being played. Plus next year the coach will have more players of his own choosing to pick from, the team will be used to his style of play, defensive patterns etc, and a lot of youngsters will have some super league experience under their belts. Much as the league position is disapointing, I don't get all the negativity that's been spouted, we're a mid table team at the moment, live with it people, and just think back a few years to where we've come from.
If there are a few seasons of marking time to get the finances in order, and this means fielding teams of mainly home grown talent, so long as they give 100% we can't ask anymore, just look at Bradford and see what happens when you live beyond your means.

Got to agree when you look at the points we have scored this season who would have thought we would put 36 points against wigan when we learn how to tackle we will be up their with them again so its not all doom
