We're not cutting the wage bill by that much though, so it's something of a redundant question. I don't know if you're stupid enough to believe that or merely think we are.
The stuff that [isome[/i Hull fans say about Rovers on the Hull board is absurd and reflects their hopes and attitudes more than reality. That's fine, but we're not going to use it to frame discussion or debate over here. Waste of time, as much as anything. |

As good a player as I think Hally is he's not captain material.
Similarly with Sam Tomkins, being a captain isn't about your playing ability, you have to have the right 'stuff' and that is something neither of these players have.

Lovely footballer but lacks concentration and bravery and agree withe Mild rover just let him develop and improve as a player,if he improves again next year we have a player! A settled position will also benefit his progression @ 6 for me, and get him to take responsibility for defending, i think by moving him around defensively all the time says to him the coach and the team dont trust me in defence.

You obviously dont understand the definition of VFM, (value for money), costs and inputs versus outputs and outcome. in other words as in any business you will need to work out the costs of the product, what input it has in relation to the cost, what is the output? i.e the amount of production during a specific period, then finaly whether the outcome was equal or worth the initial investment.
So to summarize, (input= investment) Rovers have had the products as in Clinton Webster For example who rovers invested quite heavily, (output = amount of production during a specific period), in Clinton and Websters case the output was not what you would expect in relation to that investment .
Finaly the clubs board would ask itself if the overall investment (vfm) had been worthwhile, to which the answer would have obviously been no, therefore the club are now attempting to lower their costs by paying players what they think they are worth but not compromising on the quality.
With regards to the phrase, pay peanuts and you get monkeys which you reffered to. Well, sometimes when you inspire people to join you in something meaningful, peanuts are just fine.

While I agree entirely, I think we have to be prepared for one or two fringe homegrown players to make way for the next batch coming through, who might offer more on a senior squad pro deal.
There'll inevitably be a high attrition rate. |
