I really don't see what McCarthy brings apart from been a grafter he's average and can't see what he's going to bring to an NRL team as he doesn't stand out in our average side

Well done Rovers, good result and job done icon_smile.gif

Pack 2nd half dominated, and Dixon played really well again.

Thought Bradford played pretty well first half, though obviously Lauaki should have seen red.

Anybody know the attendance?

He grafts hard as you say and offers a fair bit going forward, backed up chisholms break in the vital win against wakey and then took the tackle and sent dixon away to score.I dont see many non quota players offering as much as he does.Do you have anybody in mind who fits the bill, cant think off anybody in particular if they were available. We have signed clarkson on a 3 year deal but for me hes on a par with mcarthy at best.

I knew we'd agree one day it had to happen lol.Seriously just happy to be back among the elite, and feel we are a bit fortunate to
have won all 5 games, with the wembley distraction etc. Still done enough and thats what matters.I like your forward signings next season, look pretty good.

Still see Dixon as a full-back long term but very handy that Dixon / Sio / Mantellato appear so interchangable. Feel a little sorry for Sio actually, he's had to put up with crappy service since we lost Goulding & when the chances finally start to arrive he's at full-back!

Tilse does his job fine, he's just unspectacular. Too many have OTT expectations because he's an overseas player. I've seen suggestions that we could find a similar British player in the lower leagues but where are they? In theory we're seeing the best the Championship has to offer at the moment & I can't say I'm that impressed. Walker is a bigger concern imo.

Don't think Tilse is too bad off the bench, I think he also joined us during an injury crisis amongst the props which helped us out a lot. He's done OK, but you could probably get better for a quota spot.

Valid point Waldo. As we look to recruit for the next season the most realistic incomers will be from the teams within the middle 8's, and even though we have been playing way below our best has anybody ripped us apart of made us look daft? The quick answer is no, so bearing in mind our quota limit and the players making it up, who do you let go to replace with overseas players or alternatively who is leaving that we don't know about. Lots of questions to be asked, and everybody at Rovers is very tight lipped despite lots of rumours re clarkson, Kirmond etc

It's great to see Dixon scoring for fun in your last two games. He obviously bounced back from his CC disappointment in fine style. I hope he continues to go well for you and congrats on securing your SL status with 2 games to go icon_thumb.gif

Hi all, was my first visit to HKR on saturday and even though the result was a tad embarrassing for us, the stadium and set up you have over there is really something, not very often do you see the club with a child friendly focus which I saw underneath the new main stand with us bulls fans in, and also a great food an drink set up (hardly any queues which is something).

I went to the Leigh V KR game and im not afraid to admit was abit intimidated by some of your fans but was a great experience at your home, and finally the ticket booth where we pick up tickets which had a sign offering support to Bulls fans for macing the trip over (mine was more like 120miles), and also a great bunch of stewards who for the first time told my partner (who is diabetic) where the St John medics where if she needed them never had that before.

There are some who said you where there for the taking on that day but if Bradford had turned up im sure HKR would have played even better but they didn't need to in order to beat us.

Really glad to hear that I always wonder what away fans make of it all with the live music too, I am using North Stand at the moment as daughter not well enough to stand in East but do find it very chilled and relaxed environment and easy for refreshments. Quite enjoyable icon_smile.gif

Was interesting there was a young steward to came to move some bulls fans as out end was teaming so wasn't really any room, came to ask 4 to move as they where in ST holders seats but the ST holders where in fact sat in front of them and didnt have any issue with where we where sat.

Definitely one of the better grounds i have been to, the old and new stand look polar opposites but with some money spent shouldn't be to long before the all looks good.

Parking wasnt the easiest but where is it ever.
