einstien said insanity is when a person does the same thing over and over again but expects a different result: |
|
| It's irrelevant how long his contract is really as they don't mean much if a player wants to leave they usually do

| Jordan Cox in principle as already told Saints he will sign for us. Unless Hull KR or any other side offer him huge wages then he will be at Saints next year.

You do know asking a player when his contract is up is tapping up dont you oh and by the way saints only gave half the transfer fee for john wilkin and never paid the rest.
Im dismayed that rovers can never move forward if our best youth leave we are becoming a feeder clubfor super league.

Depends entirely on who said what to be able to say whether it's tapping up. If he's said he wants to come, there's not really a lot we can be accused of.
Anyway, you lumped us with Beaumont who has lived up to preseason expectation by having surgery to miss preseason, then complications to keep him out of the first 6 weeks of the season. - you owe us one

That's just for starters. Wait while he's on the pitch for true underwhelming! Having seen your current pack, he's 6th choice at best in the propping dept of St Helens RLFC.

This may be true, given that a HKR director has posted this on another forum (in repsonse to our inability to retain homegrown players)hypothetically if you made some of these lads with potential the best paid players in your club a) to the detriment of the rest of the squad spend and b) agent told them to refuse it regardless, what would you do?'"

7th actually walmsley Amor lms laffranchi masoe and Richards are ahead of him! It was a strange signing I have to say!
I didn't expect to see much of him, but then he was put alongside masoe and Amor in our preseason media stuff so I was eager to see why we had brought him in (as you all seemed confused!) and then he got injured if he's a replacement for perry as treatment table hugger, he's still on a lot less money, so I'm fine with it
Anyway, whilst cox and green seem very decent prospects, I'd rather hull Kr got the benefit of developing them, I mean there's always gonna be a few who leave - but I wouldn't want any team to struggle keeping hold of all it's home talent!

| If we were to lose James and Jordan and add Scott taylor what is the point in having a academy if we can't keep the players coming out of it?

The only way you can make them want to stay is through success. I reckon most young lads at rovers would leave to go to leeds, saints or wigan. Hull's youngsters maybe slightly less so because we've at least been to some finals and been at the top end of SL in the last few years (not a dig at rovers before anyone gets their knickers in a twist but Hull haven't had the same issues with club trained players leaving other than briscoe)

| Brisco wanted to stay in the end but hull would not put their original offer back n the table after his NRL move fell through Josh left because we offered him peanuts and wanted him to play back row, we will have to be carful with Bowden he has refused to sign a new deal also ben crooks has not signed an extended deal either the trouble is both clubs expect local lads to play for pennies when the out of towners and overseas players are on big bucks something that I think we are trying to fix ie McDonnell, Holdsworth big earners gone

Is the Briscoe thing true or is it just an urban myth that FC fans created to appease themselves that they were losing one of their best players. If you listen to his interview on sky he states how he’d gone stale and had to move to challenge himself. Looking at his early Leeds performances that seems to have worked aswell.

The past is just that, its gone. And so has Tom Briscoe and I for one wish him well (not that he seems to need any encouragement from me at the moment). Whatever the reason for him leaving (or not staying) it matters not.

Did you get rid of all the voices in your head? Do you now miss them and the things that they said?: |

It certainly matters not on here.
