| Quote: Jeff the God of Biscuits "Tomkins and Charnley are both established first team players, with over 100 apps a piece [150 in Tomkins' case] Now should there be a dip in for for either player, they may very well see their spot go to a young player waiting in the wings.
The players I mentioned have less than 30 apps each. With the exception of Jack Hughes, who has been an ever present for us this year, apart from this weekend.
We have a squad that is, as is quite large, able to sustain to rotating of younger/inexperienced players.
You can also factor in Iain Thornley who has played every game this year - mostly due to the fact he has come on leaps and bounds, and partly because we aren't blessed with an abundance of quality centres [Same across the entire league really].
Edit he hardly deserves to be dropped, just to bring in a young lad who may not be actually ready for the step up just for him to 'get a sniff in' as you put it.'"
How does the club fit everyone on the salary cap #justcurious

| Taylor is a big head, been sent to Leigh to learn some humility. No doubt he has talent and will be a future star for Wigan, but he has a lot to learn about fitting in with your team mates.

I'm pleased to finally understand the mechanics of the dual reg process. It's basically a head shrinking exercise.

einstien said insanity is when a person does the same thing over and over again but expects a different result: |

| Warrington use it as it's supposed to be used giving young players like Morley Briers and wood a run out

I saw a suggestion, from a Warrington fan, that as one of the two clubs that backed the RFL-recommended under 23s system (the other was Saints, iirc), that they're happy to take the pee out of it a bit.

| Was speaking to a couple of the young Hull KR players last week and they said that Scott Taylor is really struggling to fit into the heavily professional atmosphere at Wigan. What that says about him / Hull KR is a different question but I know he's struggling.
With regards to him being on duel reg, Wigan were aware that Mossop is off to the NRL when they signed him, and told him that he won't play too much this year with the aim for him to be the main man next year. By all accounts his time will come if he sticks with it.
As for Lauaki playing ahead of him, I accept that on the face of it, it seems odd but Lauaki has been superb since his return from injury so deserves to play.End of

When the majority of your team comes through your academy it tends to be cheaper than signing big named player from aus, leeds worked that out a long time ago and wigan have caught up since the new chairman arrived. Plus on top of that we have salary cap exemptions like all teams are viable for but most aren't in the position to take advantage of them.

Morgan seemingly created a good spirit in the camp, but there were hints and rumours about us not being ultra-professional. Discipline was mentioned as being something we wanted to improve when we were looking for his replacement, iirc.
