If you're stood in the stand at the top of the slope - behind that stand to your right are the best pies in the whole of Rugby League. Nobody else comes close imo.

I can see you being a gastronome Lord Pickering.
As an aside, why is it so hard for clubs to actually sell decent beer and food?
The Stoop used to have a bar with several real ales on hand pump, add in a decent local farm shop type pork pie and I'd have a pie and pint every week instead of buying a bottle of water now and again.
I'm not saying it should totally take over from what most people want, a few largers but why can't it be added?

You keep the pipes clean, jobs a good un. Our problem is we sell Worthington keg. All gas and froth. With countless excellent microbreweries in Yorkshire supplying a huge array of outstanding ( imo) cask conditioned real ale, there's a trick being missed by someone somewhere.

I'll second that. I always look for the Batley away game first and make sure I'm not working, just for the pies. Best pies in Rugby League bar none. Proper butcher made as well AFAIK. None of that Pukka rubbish we get at Fev. |
