If Kelly is (Massive, massive blow to your season) then I can understand as both your first choice halfs are out and you wouldn't want to play in the tough middle 8's (Or top and semi with Blair and Marsh as your halfs. If he is only injured short term, then it's a disappointing signing and the type that clubs in SL shouldn't be making, unless they are desperate.

Considering Kelly was only injured 3 days ago I would be amazed if the club had managed to get a diagnosis to rule him out and then arrange a replacement in such a short period of time.

To be fair I'd be amazed if it was true about Chisholm at all. I thought Tony P was over and above our quota / non fed never mind another one.

I would guess they will de-register Campese.

Not sure that is an option, it has to be sanctioned by the RFL and be in exceptional circumstances. Not sure this would fit the bill.

Anyway its all conjecture, not sure what this is based upon. There is also the small matter of salary cap restrictions and why we'd go to great lengths to sign a player that doesn't seem to have much of a track record.

Campese is deregistered which takes him off the non fed list and off the salary cap. Special permission/exceptional circumstances only comes into it if we asked for Campese to be registered again this season which obviously we won't be doing.

Chisholm looks sensational on his you tube clips but they always do don't they. Will be good to get Blair back in the 2nd row though.

His facebook says he is on his way to us at short notice till the end of this season and hoping to play Friday Night. he also said has re-signed with the bulldogs for next season. So I guess he is coming!

I remember years ago I was talking to a player manager when Wyong was a feeder club for Melbourne Storm, and he told me one of the guys we were watching was going to sign for the Melbourne Rebels Rugby Union side, which was going to start the next year.
It turned out to be this guy, and in the end he didn't get a start at the rebels and stuffed up his career at the Storm, where he was a very highly rated junior.
Since then he has played League and Union for about 4 different clubs and never had much success.
He was a fantastic junior up to under 20s level, but apart from that one game of reserve grade where I was told he was going to Union, I can't remember seeing him play.
His manager seemed to think he would be the next Cronk or Widdop, and would be a huge signing for Union, but that didn't happen.
