| If Sandercock had been here we may have, but we don't whine & whinge like we used to.
Personally, I think that's a good thing and I wish the supporters as a whole would adopt the club's mentality. Use adversity to motivate you to a better performance. Lodge a complaint? Don't be daft, enjoy the moment after a magnificent win mate.

If we miss the top 8 by say 6 to 8 points difference will you be so Happy to let it go ? Childs was on the touch line thursday night & also missed some blatant forward passes it is about time this clown was replaced & some other ref given a chance. I would expect that the club will have raised the matter but not in public.

Y'know Eddie, every team faces adversity from time to time and there are two ways you can react to it. You can whinge and moan, but that won't change anything. Some clubs though, a club like Wigan for example, they don't sit around complaining and feeling sorry for themselves - when things aren't going their way, they brush themselves down, stand up tall and they cheat, Eddie. They don't wait until after the game to criticisize a referee, they channel their anger into petulant aggression on the pitch, where it can make a difference. You look a player like Gareth Hock, a product of Wigan's amazing youth set-up - if he doesn't like a referee, he'll just knock him over. There's a lesson there that other clubs, smelly clubs that don't wear cherry and white, should learn.

| Having seen the game back this morning, I would say that Child had no chance to see the 2nd forward pass from Wilkin. His TJ however was 100% at fault.
And to answer your question, no I won't be happy, but it will be as a result of Rovers not officials. We have tonnes of supporters who like to shift responsibility onto officials when the team fail. Thankfully, the club have moved on from the victim mentality of the Sandercock era.

You even captured his accent in that post.

Do you mean the Child who allowed Green to stay on the pitch after he tried to take Burns head off. Take a balanced view because if Green had gone then you would have lost. However he didn't go and you won, and deservedly so.

| If we're removing players from the field for that though, the game will become really sanatised and players will be scared to do anything eventually. It's probably worth a match ban at the extreme most a yellow card.
It was the first minute of the game aswell, if you'd never seen RL before and tuned in last night I imagine you'd be hugely entertained. Sending a player off and killing the game after one minute would've been crazy. A red card should only be reserved for a Flower esque incident, or that Morley 'tackle' against the Aussies all those years ago.
I do think the linesmen could've helped the ref actually, but when do they ever offer assistance on forward passes?

I think you should see the sendings off for Walmsley vs Huddersfield in round 27 last year. Or Joel Moon vs Saints. Both were less clear cut than last night but both resulted in a red. Whet her that's right or not is another argument for another day.
Since we're on the topic of things the touch judge could help out with, they could of helped out with the match winning penalty being 15m further forward from where it should of been ... If Saints lose the LLS by 2 points because of that incorrect refereeing should we kick off?

Having seen the hi lights this morning I think u will find that the penalty was given approx 5 metres further down the field.
I certainly hope ur not in the carpet business as I wouldn't want you measuring up for mine.

In your [iopinion[/i, it was a red card offence. In your [iopinion[/i we would have lost if we had been reduced to 12 men.
Opinions are like assholes, and there are plenty of both over your side of the river today.
In my opinion, I think Pearson should give Radford a 5 year contract extension.

| It's time we went to the video ref for forward passes. They do it in union so no reason league shouldn't. Thankfully they didn't change the result last night but the first one in particular was ridiculous

Luckily they're balanced by the number on your side. (I'm not including you in that number Stan).

The funny thing about the Joel Moon challenge last year is that there appeared to be very little intent on his behalf, but never the less, there was contact from the shoulder to the head. There was more intent from the KR lad on Thursday, but after several views from different angles there was no conclusive evidence to say there was contact with the head. Burns facial damage would suggest otherwise, but I think the refs made the right call based on what they could see.
