| Quote: Easty "HEY!!
The fact we have almost 300k less to fork out next season on players that didn't really play a part in 2010 bodes massively well for 2011 so really your point has no weight at all. I'm making a reference to next season not the hear and now. OR is that not allowed?
Not every post is about the here and now some of us can actually look to the future with optimism.'"
Hudgell's quote was referencing FC's announcing Long and Fitz in a season where we had on average 7 players out with injury every week and consequently finished 12th. Didn't stop him condemning us looking forward with optimism off the back of it, did it? I don't feel I've been sold short fortunately: better players+better luck with injuries = 6 place improvement in the league table.

Morgan and Rovers are in the press on a daily basis winding you all up to fever pitch about Mason and Green. Surely this is a distraction from the here and now and consequently this is selling you short, if Hudgell's opinions are to be applied consistently?
BTW on hullfc.tv today Agar says it will be no surprise where Craig Hall ends up, so imagine that will be with your good selves.

And thats got nothing to do with me stating that i look forward to 2011 with optimism as we have 300k extra to sped that was wasted this season. And in all fairness the article today about Green wasn't anything to do with Morgan or Rovers. Rovers haven't even announced the signing. Like most of the recent articles are not coming out of Rovers themselves.

So actually you were sold short this season then?

Don't think the club envisaged the Cooke situation panning out like it did. They also didn't envisage Walker breaking his leg and Mills once he started his new deal being a complete pudding. So in answer to your question yes but by individual pmembers of the playing squad.

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

| Actually, that should read tampering. Although after seventeen year of Avian bliss I think the tampering ended rather a while ago.

| Quote: Mild Rover "As the anti-tampering deadline (punchline?) has passed, I think that the usefulness of that quote, of which I know you are very fond, has lapsed. And HKR have still not confirmed any signings or made any promises.'"
Season is still ongoing therefore any signings announced are distracting from the here and now, surely? Have you seen the HDM today BTW? If Green doesn't come now it'll look ridiculous.
Quote: Mild Rover "Also worth bearing in mind (and continuing my frankly brilliant brover's keeper riff), it is possible for people to support the same club and yet have different opinions. Being held to account for what I have said by the quotabase is one thing, but I imagine you wouldn't like it if I held you to account for everything Jake the Peg, Hoaxpro, Standee, Smallears, James Rule et al said.
The point on other fans I take. Hudgell is (or should I say was) the club's figurehead and spokesperson though, and one universally loved and beyond criticism from Rovers fans. Fair game, therefore.

| Rovers have nothing to do with the Green article. the HDM have appoached Green for an interview so that can't blamed on the club. Especially as it states at the bottom of the article rovers are awaiting a visa to officially announce the signing. It should leave the HDM looking ridiculous.

You're right, Rovers haven't talked about signing Green at all.

HULL KR coach Justin Morgan believes reuniting Blake Green with Michael Dobson could spearhead Rovers' drive success for years to come. "Blake is a good young half-back with plenty of NRL experience," said Morgan, who has been tracking his progress for two years."Negotiations are reasonably down the line."

HULL KR will complete the signing of Aussie half-back Blake Green this week, the Mail understands. Sources have told the Mail the 23-year-old has agreed the terms of his move to the Robins, and the length of the deal.
Hull KR have confirmed they are in talks to sign Canterbury Bulldogs stand-off Blake Green. Coach Justin Morgan told BBC Radio Humberside:
"We're well and truly down the track with Blake, he's a top quality player."

Did you get rid of all the voices in your head? Do you now miss them and the things that they said?: |
