| Cool !
Its going to be very interesting what happens now,Neil back this weekend i believe from his new year break so announcement next monday perhaps ?
Given that the CEO was out with Mr Larvin at the weekend and that other well known "workers"have been texting all and sundry re "out with the new Rovers owner"i think we can say its nailed on,just my take on things mind.
I hope we use the 3x £5M wisely and build a club that can be stable and powerfull with this fellas financal clout.
Hudge and Co arent daft and will do the due diligence to the max, that im confident in and as long as we dont panic spend we SHOULD come out of this better and stronger.

| I wonder if he will carry on with his uncouth Twitter account once it is announced , or maybe he will take some lessons in how to conduct oneself as the head of a sports club in the public eye...
Or maybe he will let all his players use the social internet sites to post what they want....Oh wait a minute that never went down well the other year did it...

| We can all wonder lots of things, all he is guilty of in my eyes is being a tad over excited !!
If i was splashing that sort of cash into Rovers i would possibly be a bit gobby tbh, afterall he is a fan just like most of us !
If he carries on with twitter so what ? No law against it as far as i know !

No I quiet agree it is his choice and no law against it, his comments regarding his tricks with his wife were particularly classy, not what you expect from the head of a sports club are they ?
Personally I hope he keeps the account, as an opposition fan it will be a constant source of amusement

So long as he doesn't start spouting that we have signed 6 futrue England internationals or 2 of the top 4 halfbacks in the league when we haven't, I will be happy.
He would just start making himself look silly.

defending it as 'legal', suggests to me that even you aren't completely sold on it either (?). It is, IMO, a little bit unbecoming - though I guess I have to admit to having a pretty low embarrassment threshold.
And if we're going to be relying on his judgement as well as his money, then as first impressions go it is sub-optimal - IMO. Not horrendous, I suppose, and if this were to be the 'price' of financial security, then - well I only have to look at Salford's current plight and I suddenly feel a bit less precious about it.
If it happens, I'd like to see the current coach and squad given this year to develop. Scrambling to get players in at short notice would likely backfire. If we can afford some top-end signings for [i2014[/i, then brilliant. With only Welham and Lovegrove counting as club-trained in 1-13 squad places, a continued focus on youth is crucial if we're going to build depth - hopefully if we're better resourced there'll be less risk of too many repeats of the Scott Taylor situation.

I do have a sense of humour, however if he is to become a high profile member of your club one would like to think he will understand he will be a role model to both young and old supporters and not all supporters appreciate uncouth comments
Unless of course he thinks uncouth and tacky suit the image of your club...

As the saying goes, you can please some of the people some of the time but you cannot please all of the people all of the time.......
Your displeasure seems more to do with it being connected to RED`N`WHITE... and the fact it has got under the skins of just about every black`n`white supporters makes it all the better....
As for his twitter...... people are saying that he is not setting a good example etc.......... people need to remember that he came from common roots and still has the common in him as demonstrated on twitter. yes he could be more tactful ,yes he could be more guarded, yes he could be more professional and yes he could be less honest...... but guess what he ISN`T..
We will all have to wait and see how it all plays out further down the road, if after it is announced that he becomes as secretive as the rest then so be it.. but i would welcome some more upfront dealings from the club..... however only time will tell..

| Personally if I had won the euro millions and i was injecting large sums into rovers, then I think I would be more outspoken and less tactful than him. I'd also probably buy Hull FC and make them our feeder team in the national leagues

| He must be seriously wedged if he's going to blow £15m on rovers without any prospect of getting it back or is he just the front man for someone else?
The similarities to the wilby situation are remarkable

Well reading certain RL press Hudgell is awaiting £5000000 hitting rovers accounts before anything is signed over.
With Mr Larvin been a Hull KR Fan and notably not of Irish decent it has no similarities to the Tim Wilby situation.

What will be Hudgell and Crosslands role at the club if it is "signed over"?

Mr Larvin has apparently said that he wanted them to remain in the roles they currently occupy but I'm guessing that's subject to change and we'll all have to wait and see..

Most of us on here will have come from fairly humble backgrounds - but sometimes to be successful you have to adapt. If he's made a fortune in banking, I'd imagine he had to, to be taken seriously by the Ruperts and the Jaspers (not that the City doesn't run on boorishness, but going in with your East Hull on full blast it would (sadly) be incongruous, I suspect). Maybe my stereotypes are outdated.
And tbf, if you've already been successful, you might think 'stuff it, don't need to do that anymore'. Or maybe he's overcompensated and gone a bit too 'man of the people'.
In the end it doesn't matter much, anyway - actions>words.
