just asked your self the question if this stand is built do u think the club will achieve the break even figure been touted about???
if we moved to the kc what kind of crowds do u think we could achieve???.'"
With regards to the question, will the club achieve break even point if the stand is built?, more to the point imo is, the fact that if we dont build the stand then we most certainly wont get the break even point.
You have to remember that as a business the club has to look at as many streams of income as it possibly can, the building of the North stand would go some way to generating those extra streams through corparate facilities etc, as well as hopefuly, from more fans who would also benifit from the better facilities on offer.
If you take Hull fc for example although there are many other similar examples in sport, their crowds grew almost every season after they re located to the much better KC staduim with its superior facilities compared to the old Boulevard.
I used to work for a large company in West Hull at that time where most of the employees were Hull Fc fans, who claimed when asked the question, did they want to leave Boulevard and move to the KC?, a large number of would answer, that they would never leave there and that a move to the KC was a bad idea, ask any of them that same question now and i know that in 99% of cases it would be a completely different answer.
Regarding your other question about numbers of supporters following the club to the KC.
Well i would say it all depends on the level of fans expectations of the club, fans would need to ask themselves the following. >>>Do they want to see a successful club playing in a very good stadium with the best players on view week in, week out and challenging for honours?, or would they be satisfied just to see a mediocre club with mediocre players in a poor ground playing the likes of Batley, Sheffield etc every week, with a small number of fans watching from the stands like the during the ninetees?, if they chose the second option then im afraid they would have to forget about ever seeing the club playing in super league again imo.
Anyway, as i've said previously, i dont think we will need to make a descision to move to the KC or anywher else, as i believe the issues surrounding the building of the new North stand will be resolved sooner rather than later.
At the end of the day i believe it is also in the best interests of the City council to have such a community based facility in the East of the City.
