I've never said Rovers crowd increases are less than impressive, but come on, for a club with planning to invest in a financially viable capacity of 14,000 for the 2010 season and that was in 2nd for a long stretch of the season, why would you expect anything other than an increase? Have a big pat on the back for like for like crowd growth of 2.5%

| Quote: Digger_the_Dog "If it was fickle Hull fans making excuses about the Ground then explain why 2000+ went to Cas?
Was it because the price was fair and noit increased just for them?
Was it because they could see the pitch?
Or was it because they are not frightened of losing to Cas like they are Rovers?
As the price and the stand position are similar to our first two seasons in Super League i'd guess your third choice is the hot favourite.

I suspect a lot from both sides of the city would have been afected. As for the south stand I would not watch from there even if it was free, I posted after last years game & the awfull weather that the FC fans had to put up with that We as a club had missed a trick by not giving the tickets to FC & just charging admin & stewarding costs for that end. Ok we would not have made any cash but just think of the qudos we would have earned & they would have nothing to moan about. As for the north stand Why do we charge more to sit behind the posts? I have never understood that. If I could not get tickets for the side I would not bother, thats why I buy tickets fromm the KC for the derby as I dont want to be behind the posts. It is also the reason I only go to away grounds if I can get tickets for a decent view on the side.'"
Just a quick one BR- have you ever been to wigan, as we sit behind the sticks at there place?

| IMHO I think it's terrible that we charge hull fans so much for south terrace tickets. Until we can replace it (and for me that day can't come soon enough), that stand should be open every game and be no more than a fiver no matter who we're playing.
I also think the north stand tickets should be cheaper. The club should make that end £12 and try and fill it every week. Surely it makes sense to have twice as many people there without even halving the ticket price?
I don't buy all this 'we pay the same to go to whoever and stand in the rain' justification. There is no stand in superleague anywhere near as bad as our south end, and I wouldn't blame any fan for not wanting to go there, especially at the price we charge hull. We can twist it how we like, but it does nothing but leave us open to criticism (and out of pocket by the looks of things).

Most rational post I've seen on this subject yet!
I thought about going, but stood on the terrace when I was at craven park earlier this year for another game to see what the view was like and you are 20-30metres from the nearest deadball line. Thats 80m to halfway - at least at squared off grounds you can see halfway a little more comfortably. I decided that if I was on the southern terrace, I would end up having to watch what was going on via the big screen - so I had the choice of £20 + parking, petrol to watch it on a big telly in the ground.
So for that reason, its the big telly at home for me.

It really is that simple! No hidden agendas.
By now most Hull fans have experienced the delights of your South "Stand" once. They elect not to again.
That's why that "stand" used to be full of us and now it isn't. If you made the Golf stand the Away stand for us as it is for every other team, you'd see a normal Hull crowd. Fantastic business strategy from Hudge and Co. in these times of empty coffers.
Hope all the Club Rovers members are happy to be subsidising his blind hatred.

I understood the south stand was allocated for you as it holds more than the north - no digs here, that's genuinely why I thought you got the South Stand.

I am not sure you can call that end a Stand in any form Trace, it is not even a terrace really is it?

| Quote: reddan "Don't flatter yourselves. It's not blind hatred, but it is petty and an excuse to make money out of you.
As trace said, the stand was allocated to you because it's a much bigger capacity then the half of the north stand most away fans get. As I said in my post though, it does need replacing and it's not good enough and way over-priced, even for you lot
So it is not hatred but the prices are much higher for Hull than anyone else for an area of the ground that even you admit is not worth paying to get into.
Who in their right mind would pay more than £5 to stand there when you can watch on tv ion a pub or at home and get a much better view?
This is not about blind loyalty (yes I know KR would have 7000 fans at Hull even if they were forced to stand in Hull Royal Infirmary Car Park and watch from there), it is about Hull fans finally realising they can enjoy the game better from a tv viewing.
The 600 or so who are going to stand in that area are the ones who A) Dont have a TV or B) are not bright enough to realise this will be the third time they will go home wondering who was playing and who scored for either team
