Rovers average attendance is on course to improve on last year when there was 2 home derby games so i dont see how our attendances this season can be knocked.

Quote: Mrs Barista "I don't understand why would Rovers say something is a certainty in 4 separate website articles when it clearly wasn't? If they'd spoken to the KC ticket office at any point since our allocation went on sale it would have been more than obvious that we weren't going to shift them all. icon_lol.gif

Are KC ticket office talking to Rovers ?

Presume they are following the lead of the club and refusing to talk to anyone icon_biggrin.gif

The bit I dont get about this "we're not going cos it's a crap view" business is that tomorrow will be the 4th SL derby at Craven Park.

Surely the time for the dummy spit should have been after the 1st SL derby when they found out what the view was like???......oh hang on...yes I forgot...they won that one didn't they icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

If it was fickle Hull fans making excuses about the Ground then explain why 2000+ went to Cas?

Was it because the price was fair and noit increased just for them?

Was it because they could see the pitch?

Or was it because they are not frightened of losing to Cas like they are Rovers?

Giver your heads a bang, KR are a disgrace charging £17 for that area, it aint even a stand. It should be free to anyone daft enough to stand there. icon_lol.gif

I bet if Hull win, more than 2000 Hull fans will claim to have been there icon_wink.gif

Replaced by the mass support of Celtic and Salford icon_rolleyes.gif

For somebody who supposedly deals in facts which part of that bothers you.
Rovers average by the end of the season will have gone up on 2008.
That should be congratulated.
Our average is better then Hudds who practically gave their season tickets away and not far behind Warrington who play in a shiny newish stadium.

When I think of all the truly terrible grounds I've endured to support HKR over the years it makes me pity HFC. Fancy not having enough true loyal fan that are willing to get behind you in your greatest hour of need that you can't even sell 1500 tickets. Truly sad!

I've never said Rovers crowd increases are less than impressive, but come on, for a club with planning to invest in a financially viable capacity of 14,000 for the 2010 season and that was in 2nd for a long stretch of the season, why would you expect anything other than an increase? Have a big pat on the back for like for like crowd growth of 2.5% icon_wink.gif

As the price and the stand position are similar to our first two seasons in Super League i'd guess your third choice is the hot favourite.

Quote: Beverley red "For my two pence worth as a Rovers fan, I wont be attending as I am at work. I would have been had sky not changed the day, as it was not enough notice for me to book time off. I suspect a lot from both sides of the city would have been afected. As for the south stand I would not watch from there even if it was free, I posted after last years game & the awfull weather that the FC fans had to put up with that We as a club had missed a trick by not giving the tickets to FC & just charging admin & stewarding costs for that end. Ok we would not have made any cash but just think of the qudos we would have earned & they would have nothing to moan about. As for the north stand Why do we charge more to sit behind the posts? I have never understood that. If I could not get tickets for the side I would not bother, thats why I buy tickets fromm the KC for the derby as I dont want to be behind the posts. It is also the reason I only go to away grounds if I can get tickets for a decent view on the side.'"

Just a quick one BR- have you ever been to wigan, as we sit behind the sticks at there place?

IMHO I think it's terrible that we charge hull fans so much for south terrace tickets. Until we can replace it (and for me that day can't come soon enough), that stand should be open every game and be no more than a fiver no matter who we're playing.

I also think the north stand tickets should be cheaper. The club should make that end £12 and try and fill it every week. Surely it makes sense to have twice as many people there without even halving the ticket price?

I don't buy all this 'we pay the same to go to whoever and stand in the rain' justification. There is no stand in superleague anywhere near as bad as our south end, and I wouldn't blame any fan for not wanting to go there, especially at the price we charge hull. We can twist it how we like, but it does nothing but leave us open to criticism (and out of pocket by the looks of things).
