I hear what he's(you're) saying about it would be lesser honour because he's not English born, but I still see a bit of a conflict of interests. Still, I haven't actually heard the interview so shouldn't really be drawing any conclusions.

He has indicated he would not play for England at this point in his career. He thinks it highly unlikely he would ever get picked. It does not make him any less proud of his English heritage. Although proud Brits Abroad we didn't sit around the dining table singing "God Save the Queen". We can see where Rhys is coming from, with every respect to Chris Heighington (Wests Tigers) he has been playing RL in Australia all his career and it is our understanding that he only made himself available for the England Team as he would never get picked for Australia. Rhys does not want to be seen in the same light.
