einstien said insanity is when a person does the same thing over and over again but expects a different result: |

how do you know it was the same firm

Not implausible to suggest that arriving at the normal time and utilising the normal pre match procedure would have countered the poor 25 minutes rovers endured at the start of the game

| Neither is there a proven cause and effect. IMO Rovers would have had the adrenaline pumping with the stress and excitement of the delay, boosting their performance at the start of the game. Without this they would have been 38 down after 25 minutes rather than just 26. Just as plausible.

| Yes the adrenaline regularly hits when sat on the M62 for hours on end. A positively uplifting and inspiring experience
Funnily enough the last time it happened was away against the same opponent and we conceded 68 points, go figure. I guess that's cause and effect enough

A team which starts and finishes badly?
Neither team is capable of regular 80 minute performances. Neither have the quality of players. I doubt even the best players from both teams would be good enough to win SL unfortunately

| Ran out of Edit-ASin' fuel. For frep sake.
That's terrible from the driver/Eddie Brown.
I mean, really? How can a coach driver not realise this.
Traffic was a nightmare so they did well to make the game for a warm up.

If that was a "just as plausible" scenario teams would turn up 5 minutes before every game for the adrenaline fueled boost to the first 25 minutes.
Missing out on the normal pre match preparation is not going to help any teams performance in a game. Only the most retarded troll would try and argue that it would.
Perhaps the pre match preparation makes no difference to game performance, maybe we just do it because that's what we always do, that might be a possibility if not for the fact that of all the sports scientists, conditioners and trainers that have ever worked with any team in RL none, not one, has ever suggested that warming up is not necessary or beneficial. Have you ever played rugby?
They might all be wrong though so at best it made no difference but on balance the overwhelming evidence can lead us to one conclusion only, and that is that being late most likely was detrimental to the performance of the team and in such a close game that might well have been the difference between winning and losing.
