I don't see a new stadium happening, but I'm not so sure that developing CP is the best option. It would still cost a fair bit to build two new stands and then what do you do with the west stand? It's a limited design - is it worth throwing money at it? If you replace it, thats three stands to build - we're getting pretty close to a full new stadium then.

The corporate side of things would improve with a new build, they'd be no restricted views, better facilities, maybe better access depending on location. My worry is that we could throw a lot of money at CP but never get it as good as it needs to be.

taxpayer.did the council not lose a bit of the kc money invested in icelandic banks???

Fewey reckons that the council is sitting on a pile of cash from the second tranche of KC shares they sold. Dunno if it is true. Info on the North stand, has always involved talk of multiple partners. The council would be one and a very important one. there'd be commercial input too, I'd imagine. And I think there may have have been mention of an application for an EU grant (there goes a huge swing to UKIP in West Hull ).

One reporter decided that East Hull needs a new stadium and with very little thought about funding and other major elements wrote an article and started a poll, this new stadium wont be talked about anymore in 2 weeks time.
