Your not going to get anyone who is good at everything as a stop gap measure, but he ticks a lot of the boxes. Lets face it, how many players are good at everything, Dobbo's not the best tackler, Murrell has no pace........
I think back to when Steve Hartley made the switch to stand off, he ended up a GB international.

Its a fair point but in playing Charlie there I would imagine Galea would have to play a more central role and he looked pretty good back out on the left against Saints.

It's what i'd do, along with Murrell at 13 and Galea at 12

| Whatever we go with it's imperative that Galea remains defending down the left hand channel, last Sunday was the first time this season that we've looked even remotely organised down that side.
I do quite like the idea of Cockayne at 6, as long as it's purely in a running role leaving all the kicking, organising and passing to Murrell, Dobson ,Fisher and Galea.

Thing is, as proved by Webster's move to 6, you get found out in the halves if you're not both a good passer and kicker. We're already too reliant on Dobson without partnering him with someone who can't share the creative workload, whether they're a good runner or not.

You'd be surprised at Cockaynes kicking and organisational skills. His natural position is at 6 or 7.

| Cockayne played SO for Donny. Needs to sort out his passing though but I'd give him a go there, why not.

Is this like that time Rovers were in for Yeaman and you created a bit of a love-in for him on here , then when he re-signed for Hull you said he was a bit rubbish. I guess we can assume Rovers are in for McNally now, then.

I think you will find if your look through your database that i praised Yeaman in 2006 when at the time his form was fantastic.
He has done nothing to merit being spoken of as highly since as his form has been below average IMO for the last 3 years.
I also said that when Rovers signed Jake Webster then they had no need to be interested in Yeaman anymore.
I dont have an inkling if Rovers are interesting in McNally now but they were previously and he is a Stand Off.
And i think is is a talent worth taking a punt on if Hudds add to their squad as is being suggested on the Wakey forum then he moves futher down the pecking order at the Galpharm.
