| Quote: Beverley red "I have followed Hall's progress since his days at FC & as folks on here say he as shown some magic touches, I am at a loss to understand why he did not kick on & become a top player? Maybe his previous coaches used him all over the park as he could play different positions at a pinch but he never laid claim or was never allowed to claim a regular slot in any one. I would not want him back as he will not solve any of the things we need, at centre he is to light, at 6 he is not a leader & at fullback no better than the two we already have. We might as well give the youngsters a go. We need a couple of big nasty forwards to hold the centre of the park around the ruck area ( to use a football term "someone to put their foot on the ball"icon_wink.gif then the rest of our game is good enough to do the job.'"
Well said but what a pity craig hall was not a patch on is dad if he was half has good he would have been ok but that was never going to happen shame

If Rugby League Rocks, then Hull KR is its Soul.: |

| What is the point of bringing back a utility back at this point in the season, especially one as average as Hall? Couldn't tackle his own Willy.
It's forwards with fire in their bellies we need, similar to the ones who played with half decent speed and passion and intensity in the second half against Cas and managed to force errors and restrict field position. Not the same soft and half hearted idiots who strolled around in second gear for the first 30 minutes, allowing the same opposition to make over 10 metres a carry, whilst making less than 5 each in return. 24 points to 6 later and the rest is history. Hope it is a lesson learned.
CRAIG HALL - DEFINITELY A NO FROM ME.

| I can't be bothered to trawl back to old posts, but I'm sure most Rovers fans were disappointed when Hall left, also didn't Chester want to keep Hall, but the deal for him to sign for Wakey already done when he was appointed?

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

| Awful comments about Hall on here.
I don't want him back but to question the lads heart is beyond the pale.
I didn't want him to leave, but the way it's gone for him at Wakey makes it the correct decision.
My views are well documented on here, but there's a serious lack of respect for a player that did his best, even if his best was less than his talent should have allowed.
Craig Hall walked the length of the East Stand and thanked the fans every time he pulled on a Rovers shirt.

| Agree with Sandro some of the comments are out of order given the choice at the end of last season I would have kept hall but now I wouldn't want him back purely because I think we have better options in the positions he covers he made mistakes but always gave 100% and he does have talent

I would never question Craigs commitment at Rovers, but I never rated him as a player, showed signs of brilliance but they were counter balanced by far too many mistakes to the detriment of the squad.
I agree there was a talented player hidden away in there but it always looked to me that he lacked that % that it takes to make the jump up from being a decent player to being a good Sl quality player. That was probably a mental toughness that he seemed to lack. Once his confidence took a knock it was a long way back and at wakey I think he;s had nowhere to hide and his condfence (along with a number of others in that team) has been damaged massively.
In short I think we held onto him for too long in the first place and it has to be a no for him returning.

He still makes the same mistakes as he did when he was 18 and first started playing first team for Hull.

| By in large I agree with most of the comments about Hall here. It's not question of been disrespectful for what he did for us last year/prior - it's being pragmatic about what he would bring to us now and in the future. As others have said, the options we have now within the squad are better or at least equal to what Hall would bring in the short term. Our immediate short term priority is ever looking like the cup and signing Hall wouldn't really help that.
If there was a long term, this would surely have to be seen as a step backwards, rather than forwards. We've moved on. Resigning an inconsistent squad player isn't what we require right now.
Not that I actually think there's any truth in this anyway.
Hall's a quality 18/19th man. Offers wonderful cover options, but is far too inconsistent to nail any position down. If it did happen though ... the one position I'd consider him useful would be as cover @ 6 and yes, ahead of Blair (just my opinion).

| I was a fan of Craig Hall despite some of his lapses. However, I don't really see the logic of bringing him back.

| Hope no-one is insulting to the lad, he gave 100%, just never was good enough to command a single position in the team. Good utility but not one I think we should bring back.

| Isn't Ben Cockayne off contract at the end of this season? If so, it just occurred to me that maybe Craig Hall is seen as the replacement utility back for Charlie.

| People are letting there opinions on hall as a person cloud there judgement as a RL player now I don't know him personally always seemed to give his all for us but if I'm going to be honest he is 1 of the worst players in a team routed to the bottom of the league, had endless opportunities to nail a place in our side and always failed, let's be honest we ain't a very good side now and to bring a player like hall in would never see us improve

No need to worry, Wakey fans have had enough of him, Dozey Parker gets all his imfo from RL fans, then makes it up as he goes along.
