Would have to say Training first, i always hated training and would try whenever possible to slack off

Other than that i would say injuries only ever had one to speak off when i fractured my arm making a tackle. That was in the first half and it was an important cup game and i assumed it was just bruised so carried on playing till the 70th minute when it was just too much to hide anymore.

Afternoon at hospital to be told no break But two weeks later started to get a calcium growth where the bone was knitting back together so had to have op to snap pin and plate it. A whole year of playing down the pan and it was never right after that went on to break it twice more before calling it a day.

Being on the wing and your team not shifting it wide. Halfbacks kicking on the second or third tackle. I was only 10 though

Broken leg and dislocated ankle came a little bit keen !!!!!

Same thing finished me mate when i was 22.

Making the schoolboy Yorkshire squad, but not the team when three of your schoolmates did

Various things about training, vomming after endless cicuit laps, the delight of the East Hull Winter wind scorching your throat on a run etc...

One match day event that still causes a post traumatic stress disorder of my ears is getting an absolute hospital pass at Post Office Road playing for Wilberforce and being buried in a sand mountain by two twenty two stone Wigan Pie Eaters. It took two JCB's and a crane to get me out.

similar story here - dislocated knee and torn ACL knee reconstruction required and missed an entire season. Got fit for the new season , played hooker so first set thought I'd scoot out of dummy half and get the first tackle on the leg out of the way - took the hit and came down on my thumb on the ball carrying arm - dislocated my bl***y thumb.
