Well your French hooker has been charged initially so I don't think Powell will be apologising for criticising the tackle that led to our captain going off and not returning. That said, his replacement and your old boy Jake Webster show some quality when brought on. Overall a draw was fair but the manner probably makes it feel like a loss for us. We were never behind but never put enough pressure on to extend a 6 point lead. I was screaming for a drop goal but I guess the conditions wouldn't have made it easy. Thought once again kelly showed up well on a day when half backs were never gonna thrive. Think you lot were a touch smarter then us and possibly had a bit more fight then us. Saying that, if we win 16 14 I'd imagine most Cas fans would be chuffed. Also we were not at full strength either, lynch massey mariano would all get in our starting lineup when fit. Shenton ACL season ender !

Boudebza uses his thigh to lever the side of Shenton's knee, nasty tactic.

Shenton probably done for the season....guy who does it gets 2 games at most....justice

The Sky footage clearly shows he goes in 3rd man, low then when he misses his knee with the shoulder he levers the side of it with his thigh instead. An ACL injury is consistent with trauma to the side of the Knee which is the exact place Boudebza applied the pressure.

Fully expect the RFL to cop out of it and cry poor camera angles, it's just how they work.

It wasn't a cannonball tackle though, which is why it isn't the same grade as Chase last season but it is undue pressure - the same as a grapple or chicken wing.

You either have a vivid imagination or access to another angle, as the only footage I have seen shows nothing like you describe.

I feel sorry for Shenton, and like most folk even having looked at the incident, if Shenton had got up and played the ball, it wouldnt have even been discussed, let alone John getting pinged for a grade B

He also had both of our 18 stone props applying simultaneous downward pressure on him after the Boudebza contact as well, which might have contributed to the unfortunate outcome.

It looked to me like a really unfortunate contact, one where Shenton's knee caught the effect of several factors. The pitch was very heavy yesterday, one were you're not going to be able to set yourself under a barrage of defenders. You're not going to be able to keep your feet.

I don't think Boudebza did anything wrong but if he did then he deserves a ban.

My main concern is Michael Shenton.

I hope to see him back on the pitch as soon as possible.
