| Reading the article in the HDM, it reminded me of Mr Allams "well move to Melton" rant. The guy from the council sounded very commuted to making the north stand happen

| Quote: Robins Nest "It has been said by Directors, Coaches and Players that the fans at Craven Park are the most important thing to the club, the Club logo states "The Pride of East Hull" and Hull KR are marketed as a Community Club at the heart of East Hull. So were does this all fit in if the team moves to the KC in WEST Hull ? No fans, no pride and no community. I've been supporting Rovers since the mid 60's and I won't be going to the KC and many others will feel the same way.
HULL KR are the Pride of East Hull and bigger then any one individual, you either except it or leave !!!!!'"
Our Board will only move the Club to the KC as a last resort if our ground improvements dont come to fruition. It is not financially viable to continue at this level of rugby with the current facilities at Craven Park.
Would you rather the Board withdraw their backing and allow the Club to die a painful death at Craven Park?

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

| Do we even have "The Pride Of East Hull" thing anymore?
Personally, I don't care where we play, as long as it's in red and white and we're called Hull Kingston Rovers.

Same here, even though i would much prefer to stay in East Hull, i would much rather have a team that was able to challenge for honours in the future, to do that the club needs to be on a viable footing financialy.
As things stand at present with a reduced capacity stadium and facilities not up to scratch that is less likely to happen, so if it came to a choice of either, having a good sound future but having to move to achieve it, or staying put in a stadium that might not get a new licence when they come up for renewal as a result of not been up to scratch, then for me its a no brainer.
Anyway, hopefuly it will not come to that and the meeting between Neil Hudgell and the council tommorow, will be possitive and they find a way of resolving the issue once and for all.

| You know what, i cant even believe ANY of you lot are even toying with the idea after the abuse and drivel you gave us for moving there! At least the the stadium is in the right half of the city for us, to imagine FC being based in East Hull for me is unthinkable and i could NEVER bring myself to share a ground with you lot, never! Besides there is nowhere for you lot to tether your horses so jog on, redevelop, or just simply bomb that dump you call home, i don't care which and keep your two bob run by a nutter club in East Hull. Thank-you and goodnight!!!

When have we EVER stated that we own the stadium???? It seems it is you who is the idiot! i was merely stating that i don't possibly see how any of you lot could possibly go see your club there after the abuse you gave FC for moving there, it would quite frankly make you all look hypercritical and pretty damned stupid!!! But i'm guessing that is a regular thing for you my simple friend!!!!

One major aspect of our tenancy agreement seems to have escaped you: we may not own the stadium but we do have the power of veto over any future tenant.

So, some vitriolic people who have nothing to do with the running of our club gave you a bit of stick for moving to the KC, I can't possibly see what their grounds would have been. Moving from a historic but past it's sell by date stadium to a state of the art facility. Tough decision. Personally, I don't remember this, you weren't really on my radar at the time as we were that awful there was very little chance of us playing you. I'm not saying it didn't happen.
And because of that, a decade later when our circumstances are entirely different we should never consider the prospect of playing elsewhere despite the fact that our current ground isn't fit for purpose for the club that Rovers aspire to be. There's a purpose built ready made facility a few miles away, but we shouldn't think about going there because a few people made derogatory remarks about Hull FC moving there over a decade ago (Was it? I don't actually know when you moved there) that would be stupid.
Yes, I get the gist of your argument, solid thought process that.

| I have been informed today's meeting between Rovers Board and KUHCC is not all about concerns over obtaining ERF, but the fact the North Stand project could be put out to tender on the basis of the funding already secured - £6.2m.
Apparently, the ERF delay is partly due to late submission although the application is now on the table, however, there is an across-the-board 'consulation' period being added to all UK applications from the fund, 'allegedly' in retaliation to Camerloon's euro zone veto.

I get why you would want to move, what i don't get is why you have to move? Is Craven Park that run down? The last time i was there in all honesty it didn't seem that bad! And what has happened to the Allams money for the development of a new stand etc? I just struggle to see why a relatively new stadium which Craven Park is, not fit for purpose.
