The blindingly obvious thing that needs fixing is the retail side of the business. I'd not bother with Clinton and spend his salary on a decent retail manager and improving that side of things. If FC can turn over £1m in a season finishing 12th, no reason why Rovers can't do something similar when you finished the regular season in 4th. Couple of questions...

Are the players contract payments shown as short term liabilities? If so wouldn't this account for a large portion of the £2.2m quoted?

If the accounts are up to 30/11/2008 doesn't that mean that the deadline for payments due within 12 months has already passed?

If the directors call their loans in they will get nowt, so they are highly unlikely to do so are they. It paper debt and will be handled over the coming years, lets face it Hudge, Rob Crossland and the latest recruit (forgot his name) have built highly successful businesses which has been done with astute business sense and not by accident.

I know nothing about accounting, but couldn't we put a value on each player and add this to the balance sheet, you never know, it might put us in profit
